Original Weapon ideas thread

Name: Needle Repeater (Scope capable)

Ammo Type: Kinetic

ag Size: 16 per clip (overall 48 clip mags)

Weapon Tier: Tier 1

Description: A mercenary weapon for Elite rangers. Onced hired and now shared with the Banished. The Needle Repeater is a duo-shot (shoots two needles per trigger) rifle that requires 8 shots to combine. Because of the Repeater’s small needle size, it excels speed and firerate than the needle rifle, however, sacrificing precision damage (not headshot capable) and recoil, making it ideal for mid-range than close range.

In-game explanation, its just the Commando as a rapid-fire burst with a super combine. But it has a chance to combine twice if you hit all the shots on two targets.

So the hunter plasma cannons introduced to Halo 5 warzone…

Weapon Tier: Overpowered
Weapon Description: Causes giant explosion that destroys the entire map, killing everyone.

A very balanced weapon that is sure to improve the game and make gamers have fun.

The “Refractor” could be the solution to this (Hardlight is inherently effective vs vehicles). Since it is Tier 1 it would be more readily available.

Name: Blamite Blaster (sounds corny but we already have too many “Cannons”, but aka Needle Cannon).

Tier: Detachable Turret

Description: A heavy weapon that rapidly fires modified Blamite crystals (picture the Enforcer Sentinels from Halo 2 which fires Red looking needles). The blamite will stick to any enemies, vehicles, or objects for a certain amount of time however it will not supercombine until it is detonated by the user with an alternate fire mode.

  • RT: Rapidly fires red blamite that will embed itself into any surface.
  • LT: Hold to fire a charged projectile that will ignite a chain reaction causing all blamite crystals to supercombine.

I think this would be really cool to use against vehicles, picture supercombining a Scorpion Tank.

A more fun idea: Stasis Beam

A variant of the Sentinel Beam that doesn’t deal any damage, instead it manipulates objects.

  • RT: Push
  • LT: Pull
  • LT + RT: Grab
  • Hold Y (Drop): Deploy Grav Lift

Dual brute needle SMG
Picked up as pair, dropped as a pair.

Two fire modes.

High rate of fire no detonation, mild seeking and pushes targets.

Mode 2 slower fires like a dual needler, and can stick into vehicles.

So, like a spiker from halo reach & halo 3, but not a spiker at the same time? Sound cool! If it goes boom I’m on board!!!

If I can make an argument, I wouldn’t give the projectiles tracking ability. Maybe if it was weak than sure. Otherwise it would be over powered and constantly ruin the vehicle experience. If anything it should be given a sticky aspect to it. Like an emp sticky bomb. It sticks to a vehicle and let’s off an electric burst stunning both the Spartans and the vehicle. And after it is over it blows up causing minor damage to the vehicle.

Not exactly. More a broken version that spews more than shoots. Kind of like the H3 flamethrower.
