After 343i took on the reigns of Halo, they gave out Halo 3 Recon to everyone.
For the players who took the time to complete each VidMaster, this was unfair.
My idea is this.
In Halo 5, if one has completed all VidMasters in Halo 3 and ODST, he/she should be able to enter a code on Halo Waypoint that unlocks an exclusive armor for the player to proudly wear in Halo 5.
This armor could either be a replica of Halo 3 Recon, or a new, AWESOME-looking armor.
What do you all think?
i think this would be a cool way to bring halo 3 recon into halo 5. the only problem is that it forces you to go back and play matchmaking in a game that could have no people in it. my solution: anyone with the vidmasters gets recon in halo 5, but if you didn’t get them in halo 4, they could have new ones in halo 5.
I wouldn’t mind it, it’d get people to go and play past Halo games.
I want challanges like LASO so I can also be rewarded.
Vidmaster forces me to play 4 player coop or matchmaking.
But most of my friends stopped playing halo overall, you get the point.

Making friends in Halo is easy.
But I know what you mean.
I’ve been trying to get the Endure VidMaster recently.
However, playing coop makes me lag a lot.
But even still.
Those who have completed all the VidMasters DESERVE special armor.
I would prefer new Vidmasters for Halo 5 to get armor

I think this is a fantastic idea!
But… I think there should also be new vidmasters you have to get in halo 5 along with the old vidmasters in halo 3 and h3:odst to unlock the armor. This way we can have fun getting our friends together again to try to get the vidmasters. This I think would bring alot of players in just like the recon craze did.
Keep Recon available to everyone as it’s so popular, but I agree: Make a brand-new set of BEASTLY awesome armor for vidmaster winners.

Plus like I said in my last post, it’ll get players to play past Halo games, think about it, a new player to Halo who’ve played the campaign, but knows nothing about the campaign of past games, sees some cool armor, that can only be unlocked from a VidMasters from ODST or Halo 3, in order for him to get the armor, he’d have to buy the game and play it.
I’ve known people who started playing Halo at Halo Reach, and know nothing about any of the other Halo games, and I’ve actually had to give them a very quick summary of each game, and a quick lesson on the lore.
Considering that more people are playing Halo3 than Halo 4, getting a vidmaster shouldnt take long.
Rather than righteous looking armor we get MC’s monk robes from the trailer?

All Armour sets should be obtainable in-game without the purchase of other games in the series (DLC is fine though). However, I’m all for Weapon and Armour skins for obtaining classic achievements (but not for the vidmasters, they had their reward)
