I cannot believe 343i put Ordnance in Halo. Ordnance is CARE PACKAGE. People has to find weapons on the map. That is Halo. I also agree sometimes INITIAL ORDNANCE is useful. But Personal Ordnance, it makes you like hacking into Power Weapons. Now that is NOT Halo. 343i need to remove personal ordnance from Halo 4. I wish that happens in the next Update. REMOVE PERSONAL ORDNANCE REMOVE IT 343i REMOVE PERSONAL ORDNANCE
There are gametypes that lack personal ordnance, and entire playlists. Hell, most of Halo 4 lacks it. Don’t like it? It’s not that hard to avoid.
I see no reason why they should remove it from custom games.
Keep internal and random ordinance.
Personnel ordinance should be removed.
it just promotes camping.

Last time I played Reach there was a crap-load of camping for power weapons. Removing personal ordinance would promote camping of a different kind.
Personal Ordnance should be removed. Games shouldn’t be won because the Blue guy got a Rocket Launcher and the Red guy only got a Needler…
Random Ordnance is OK I guess. It still makes the game unbalanced, but it’s a damn sight better than PO.

There is a difference.
In Halo Reach/3/2/1 you are holding a tactically advantageous position.
In Halo 4 you “camp”.
There is nothing wrong with “camping” or holding a position. It is a legitimate strategy.
It is mostly only the noobs that finds “camping” or holding a position frustrating, as it rewards those who have spent considerable amount of time in the game, and have learned defensive positions, weapon spawns and map layouts.
Agreed, please remove

No matter what you do camping is always going to be a factor in games these days especially with Active Camo.
I’m fine with Personal Ordnance as long as it stays away from the higher tier power weapons. The three sniper variants and three rocket variants need to be removed.
Yeah I hate ordnance it ruins the game, I really hope it’s not in Halo 5.
Just make personal ordanance take 250% more points to achieve if its kept or at least make the covy weapons more common H4 is just UNSC weapons with few covy weapons compared to reach (all hail the plasma launcher)
I like playing with personal ordinance sometimes. It doesn’t bother me. If you don’t want to play with personal ordinance, I’d play Team Throwdown or Team Objective or Doubles, or vote for the Slayer Pro version everytime it comes up. Like someone said, it’s not hard to avoid. Just play a different playlist.

This. Ordnance makes the gameplay stupidly unpredictable, at times you can make a perfectly reasonable challenge only to find the other player had just luckily got rockets from ordnance.

“Camping” is when you have put yourself in a position at which you can have no possible positive influence on the game.
If you can have a positive influence on the game, by defending a power weapon spawn or holding the higher ground that is fine by me. A problem with this though is that some maps are asymmetrical which favours one team, so it encourages another team to camp.

Provide less powerful weapons in personal ordinance then, don’t remove it entirely.
Personal Ordnance should not give campers their precious Shotguns and Beam Rifles…
Instead, it should give players…

Armor Abilities

Grenade Resupplies

Loadout Weapons

NO POWER WEAPONS!
You have to get kills and assists to get them. It’s not like they can just be called at will. Besides just because someone has a power weapon/power up it doesn’t make them invincible.
I say keep Personal Ordinance but change it so it doesn’t include power weapons. Just put damage boost and overshield in it along with removing Invis as an AA and putting it in PO with the other 2 power ups. You could even throw in a resupply for ammo.
Ordnance is too unpredictable to be fair and equal for both teams.
> Games shouldn’t be won because the Blue guy got a Rocket Launcher and the Red guy only got a Needler…
100% correct here.
Using this example, its like having the one team spawn with a Scorpion Tank, and the other spawn with a Ghost, sure they’re both powerful and can get a few kills, but the former is way more powerful and can give that team a major advantage all because of luck.
