Ordinance/Weapon Markers

Can we please do away with the arrow above an ordinance spawn in the next game? As much as it’s there to help newer members, it also blatantly points out the position of whoever decided to pick up the weapon.

Instead, during the loading screen an overhead image of the map could be shown detailing weapon spawn times and locations. This way people would know where and when the weapons spawn without need of giving away player locations later in the game.

I’ll quote another suggestion here in a bit.

Basically, I’d prefer if we didn’t have a return of “Here I am! I picked up the Sniper! Shoot me.”

I quite like the new ordnance markers on the HUD. They relay information to new players which makes the game easier to pick up and play. The biggest issue with them is that they instantly disappear when the corresponding weapon is picked up.

> it also blatantly points out the position of whoever decided to pick up the weapon.

I suggest that the ordnance markers be tweaked so that they disappear 5 seconds after a weapon is picked up. This would allow new players to learn the weapon placements faster without reducing the skill gap.

I like this idea, although I’d rather see it available throughout the game. It should be placed in a menu with the scoreboard and a few other things like weapon schematics and such.

That was another thought from someone over in a different thread. I was going to post it, but was waiting to ask their permission to do so first.

But this would definitely be ideal. I don’t like the idea of having my position given away because I grabbed a power weapon first  . It’s great for newer players who don’t know the weapon spawns or don’t care to learn them, but annoying once you get to higher levels of play.

They really should get rid of it! Halo is not a game you pick up and play and have someone holding your hand while your still learning the game. No, its about learning the game the hard way by learning where the weapon spawns are and when their going to spawn after they get picked up. If learning it also means where if you think the weapon is there and someone is waiting for you and kills you with the power weapon learn from your mistakes, and learn the fastest way to the power weapon. Halo 4 is already pretty much the most Noob friendly Halo in all the Halo games without a learning curve. In Halo 5 they need to bring back a learning curve.

Well, perhaps you could still post it in their wording if they give you permission. Their idea might be slightly different.
