Ordinance Drops: Keep em, Trash em, or Fix em

What is the community’s opinions on ordinance drops?

I hate them more then justin bieber trash them I beg

> Ordnance is much like care packages, they share the same effects on the game. For example you could get 2 equally skilled teams fighting one another for victory, both being in line with one another, then suddenly one of the teams gets a better ordnance drop then the other team, which can then suddenly change who the Victor is. This is a huge problem because the dice throwing essentially throws aside the opposing teams skill. The same can be said when one team is more skilled than the other, the weaker team could get lucky on the weapons and thus brush aside the better teams effort and skill.

> It happens in Call of Duty a lot, if I’m on the losing team and I suddenly get a Swarm from a care package, I essentially have won the game for us without any effort, whether it be when the teams are equal or when the teams are different in skill. The dice throwing just isn’t Halo at all.

There’s also less reason for me to travel across around the map because now I don’t have to fight for/control certain locations or beat people to certain weapons because I know I’ll get an easy power weapon from ordnance, Ordnance really needs to be bloody trashed and sent to a furnace.

Keep them, but tweak them.

That’s my opinion.

only should have ammo for power weapons, power boost, speed boost and overshield and promethean vision. Power weapons should remain on the maps.

They should be like powerups exclusively. So you get the choice between: Power Boost, Speed Boost, Overshield and Active Camo.

Only a minor tweak to how things are now. It’d be more like THE arena shooter of arena shooters that way, too, Q3.

actually, i like this idea

This ain’t COD son! Trash’em. Those are the words of Sgt. Johnson himself.

Trash. Ordinance drops are one of the things taking skill out of this game. “oh here’s a rocket launcher or sniper rifle”

I will be the minority and mention that for players like me, Deathmatch gameplay is terribly 90’s and boring as all hell. THAT BEING SAID I don’t care what happens to Slayer, since I refuse to play it so I say power to ya if it’s going to make Halo 4 work better. I still hate Slayer though, it’s like Nascar with guns. Simple people running around in circles, shooting each other. Yaawwwwwn.

Give me Big Team Battle Objective and get the damn party started, it’s been months of waiting for nothing!

Fix them. Change random ODs for the old static weapon placements. Eliminate upper tier power weapons from personal ODs, or move closer to the COD way of killstreaks (X kills gets you overshield, Y kills gets you shotgun, Z kills gets you Sniper).

Keep them / fix em make them drop AA’s / DMR/br/ammo and grenades. Problems solved i feel like the community at least a majority of them are treating it the wrong way just cause ordinance is screwed up dosent mean that its a bad implemntation in general. Even bungie has ran into issues with your favorite abilities and weapons in all the past Halo’s and dont say its not like i was there because i wasent but from waht i know of game design it happens no matter how good you are most of the time its fixed or good at release just that it didnt happen this time with 343.

Well if its whats in ordinance then there’s obviosly a way to solve it. its the weapons or things and how they come in ordinance that are causeing people to rage not ordinance itself. It can be fixed.

Ordinances only bring chaos to multiplayer. Trash em!!!

Not bothered with them just add actual weapons to the maps instead of just drop pod weapons and I would be happy with it.

Trash em. Keep em around as Custom Game options if you must, but for online Match Making definitely trash em.

I used to hate playing against a good team. They could control the power weapon spawns (some of them even memorised respawn times lol).

Now with random ordnance drops it gives us casuals a chance. I say keep 'em.

the debate isint not what to put in them, but how they should be used. Sure in some play lists they could have a weapon, but power ups seem to be a better idea to me. Halo has always been a game where the good weapons were on the map and just because your biggest fans of the multiplayer know the times you deem it unfair. I suggest you maybe learn the times yourself? as its part of the meta game.

Get rid of them. I prefer to have weapons on the map, more map control, and the maps feel less empty.

Trash 'em.
