Are people seriously okay with no default weapons spawns and ordinance drops? I’m not going to mention the instant respawn (which is also absurd) and the default sprint (and stupid AA’s).
Bye bye, Halo. You were a good competitive arena style game (Halo 1-3). Halo 4 has actually surpassed Reach in stupid game design. The only good aspect of halo 4 is the reversion of a few things like run speed, jump height, and kill times.
I need an explanation for this implementation. The people who think this was a good move by 343, please explain. How does that create balanced, cooperative (team-oriented), and competitive play? There is no such thing as map control any more. The feel of Halo has long deteriorated with these extreme to-the-core changes in game design.
Everyone knows the success the original trilogy had, especially Halo 3. Why couldn’t 343 have just expanded on that in stead of take a whole new direction which strays from the integrity of the series? The worst part is that I believe these new things like ordinance drops and instant respawns and whatnot are not gonna change for good. It was probably something decided long ago was going to be the hallmark of Halo 4 design.
Halo 4 is a great game, Ordinance drops are the only thing that irritates me about it. I’m hoping they’ll add a classic playlist but that probably won’t happen.

Halo 4 is the best in the series. The game has changed pretty dramatically which is a good thing. Has it ever occurred to you that people get tired of the same old -Yoink-? No? I didn’t think so.

How nice of you to speak for the rest of us because you are WRONG. I love all the changes. The ordnance drops, the kill-cam so I have something to watch while I wait to re-spawn, the sprinting for faster gameplay, the removal of those crappy red “X”'s that say “OH LOOK THE ENEMY IS OVER HERE”.
All of it I like. Don’t put words in other peoples mouths chump.
It’s sad that this game has seemingly gone down the “wrong path”. Halo 1,2 and 3 were my favorite games. I was hoping that Halo 4 would return to a more primitive gaming style, but instead they managed to ruin Halo even more than Reach had.
343, if you are listening… PLEASE consider changing this game.

Range of the weapons.
DMR and BR have the same range as a sniper?!
Weapon strength & health.
Either the weapons are WAY too strong or it is just way too easy to kill your enemies. It seems this game is trying to cater to players who aren’t good. You no longer have to master the weapons, maps or grenades. Now the weapons and perks make a player good. It’s sad. In the “good” Halo’s it was about who was better. You could be getting shot, turn around, and out shoot the player if you were better. Now in Halo 4, if you get shot first you have no chance at killing the enemy.
Ranking system
Please go back to a 50 ranking system. Ranking up was fun and it showed how good you were. It always made you want to play another game because if you won, you had a chance to rank up. Now it feels like a chore to rank up. Not how good you are, just how much you play.
So PLEASE consider changing some of these issues to make this game a “true” Halo game instead of a game being turned into Call of Duty.
