Thank you very much for sharing your input Teneesh4374
Regarding the player colors/outlines, 343 Industries could perhaps provide an option similar to the Halo 3 cosmetic toggle found in the MCC. That toggle found in the settings menu was called “New Skins in Halo 3” and provided a greatly appreciated way to enjoy a stripped-down experience.
Regarding gyro aiming being read as both mouse and controller at the same time, that is something I had never considered. Thank you for letting me know that.

We’re not even requesting any new game features be added; only that 343 Industries kindly provide a few extra toggles in the settings menu to turn off specific existing game elements. They will have one full month to apply everything they learn from Flight #2 & 3 before the game likely goes gold during the first week of November. Bare in mind Flight # 3 hasn’t even completed yet, not to mention I believe 343 i. already stated they intend on addressing confusion caused by bullet point # 4 player colors/outlines.
It’s really quite simple we are two months from launch and that time is used fixing bugs and other assorted stuff.

Have you been informed that Bungie was still balancing weapons i.e. damage output, rate of fire etc. during Halo 3’s development around 3 weeks before that game launched?
I’ll also mention that this thread was created ten weeks before launch, well over two months.
I definitely find some of these things they’ve added to the game a little bit annoying and would love the option to turn them off. The AI says alot of annoying stuff, and I really don’t like the way some of the spartans sound in game
Regarding the goomba stomp or kill confirmation sound: I don’t really care about those, what I really dislike is the same sound for when you get killed. It makes it harder for me to hear, which gun got me killed so I can make a quick and useful callout for my mates. I don’t need a conformation sound for beeing killed, I’ll figure that out without the help of sounddesign.
Spartan chatter is another thing tho. I kinda dislike it and want a toggle of for it, because it causes audio clutter. But I’m always very amused when a spartan calls “did some damage!” and repeat it in a sassy voice to annoy my mates, which is fun

So you don’t need a sound effect to tell you you died but you need one to let you know you killed someone. Interesting logic

Well, I said I don’t care, it doesn’t add to the experience, nor do I lose information. The sound effect for being killed robs me of information, because it makes it harder for me to figure out, which weapon killed me.

The fact that it adds nothing to the experience is exactly why you should care. It’s completely unnecessary, obnoxious fluff that detracts from the natural soundscape.

I disagree on this. If you want a more serious tone AI, you can just get a different one. Butlr or Lumu do just that. But then again, if you just want to turn it off altogether, that’s that too. But you don’t need to use an AI and diss on his intentional personality

I completely agree. I’d like to be able to mute the AI specifically, I have no strong feelins about input-based matchmaking, I think the kill confirmation sound and the you-died sound should be able to be muted separately from the rest of the kill confirmation sounds, and I want to be able to turn off player outlines.
I turned the voice volume to zero for the beta but unfortunately that mutes the announcer too. I was generally able to keep up with everything (at least on the 4v4 maps) because of the on-screen waypoints, number timers, circle progress bar timers on the ground, and prominent placements of objects.

That being said I think the only thing on the list that is absolutely essential is input based matchmaking.
Input based matchmaking is absolutely essential and if they don’t include that and I’m matched up with KBM players I’m going to be really disappointed.
I’m also worried that there will be a lot more cheaters in Infinite due to PC players so I’d even take it one step further and request that we have the option to select Xbox only matchmaking. No offense to my PC brothers, I hope you enjoy the game and help to make Infinite popular, I personally don’t want to play with you though.

That was Butlr, and yes, I diss the personality.
Show me to the option to turn off the AI completely, because it wasn’t in the beta.

Because “SpReAd ThAt OnE oN a CrAcKeR” and “YoU’rE qUiTe LeThAl WiTh ThAt” are just the most serious lines aren’t they?
Even Butlr is completely cringeworthy and juvenile. Not to mention, the ‘sophisticated English gentleman’ tone 343 were going for completely misses the mark. It’s like they got some prepubescent to strain their voice and try their best Alfred impression. It’s embarrassing.

To help limit menu clutter 343 could also implement the “mute AI” option as a literal AI named “mute”. “He doesn’t talk but he’s a great listener”
Dark theory: 343i made the AI voices annoying on purpose so that you’ll buy the less annoying ones.
Imagine having Jeff Steitzer, the most iconic video game announcer ever, and replacing him with someone else. You think that wasn’t intentional? The questionable decisions made by 343i in this game are obviously simple if you just follow the money.
This is a really great thread, i know the option to turn off the hit markers/kill sound has already been mentioned and on that topic i would also like to request an option to toggle off the visual hit/damage markers and kill confirmation. I feel like it would make the game much more readable and it would especially be appreciated for the campaign, because i really don’t want to see that red cross everytime i headshot a grunt.
