343, please have an option to turn the announcer off, I dont want a over emphasized reminder that I have to defend the flag or got a kill in some ridiculous manner for the one thousandth time, and I don’t want to play without sound and handicap myself. Thanks.
Or better yet, get rid off the useless announcements, but I’m sure it’s too late now.
The game doesn’t even have proper sound settings (balance between music and effects) and you expect something as high above standards as multiple announcers? wat

Sure it’s not difficult. Just like making volume regulation for music, effects and voice is a matter of minutes. Yet we don’t have any of that.

What are you talking about the announcer doesnt even talk that much, All these people complain that he says too much he blah blah blah, But in the entire CTF video from Pax, He hardly said anything, He only talked 60 times in the entire 14 video.
Which is roughly a line every 23 seconds. Thats not that much.

Oh, so you’re a developer? Because only a developer from 343 would know how much work it is. I hate seeing comments like these because they have no idea how hard a game is to make. They make it sound like making a game is as easy as choosing options from a pre-programmed menu. News flash! It IS that difficult.

> Oh look someone telling me to adapt, what a surprise…
He’s nottelling you to adapt, He’s telling you that you can choose another option and that is to get used to it. Whether you like it or not if you buy the game that is what your are going to have to do. No if’s and’s or but’s about it. Your opinion is your opinion but if your opinion isnt constructive or at least backed by evidence or facts, thats all they are opinions.

This would be good. A the minute the announcer says way too much.

Thank you for your support in this matter. The more options the better.
I see no reason not to add an option, but Jeff has always been an awesome announcer in my opinion…least he isn’t narrating your life… all you would hear is “EJACULATION!”
I have no idea how difficult it would be to implement, but the announcer is going to be the difference between me playing this game for a long time and playing this game for a short time.
I’m not saying that in a keyboard-warrior “I’M NOT BUYING HALO 4!” way, because I am, and I hope to enjoy it. But from the gameplay videos I’ve seen, I just wouldn’t be playing multiplayer for long because the announcements and pop ups are so intrusive. I’ve never played COD so I can’t compare it like everyone else is, but I know these things drag me out of the game.
I’d really, really like an option to turn the announcer off if they’re not going to tone him down or remove some of the medal announcements. Please, 343i, if you’re reading any of these threads, listen to our feedback and at least give us the option. I really want to play Halo 4 for a long time, but “get used to it” isn’t a great option, I’m not particularly willing to be annoyed and distracted in the long term and I’d just find another game in the end.
Literally the only thing I want the announcer to tell me is if the enenmy has my flag, and if the enemy team has just tied the lead. Everything else is irrelevant.
I agree, OP. You literally can’t throw a grenade without him letting you know. I mean, no disrespect to Jeff, it’s just he seems a bit to involved in Halo 4.
