So far, Halo Infinite is great, I really like it! However, currently I have an issue with the 30fps cap that the game has currently on the original Xbox One, it’s hard to play with a choppy gameplay, and it would be great to have an option to toggle the fps cap. I would understand if the reason behind it is related to graphics, and if it is, it would be great if we could at least lower the graphics, some people care about graphics, but in my case I choose (and I assume other people too) to have a more solid frame rate over good graphics, I really, REALLY love all the effort put on this game, the reflections, the really small details on the ground; footsteps or debris, I really love all of that, but I genuinely prefer to have a smoother gameplay.
I am guessing here, but I think the limiting factor will be the CPU. There’s probably not much more they can do to get the frame rate higher without removing the bots.
I push easy 120fps All Day…
You are playing on old hardware. There isn’t much they can do about that. They can’t spend all their time and effort trying to make a game run on hardware that is that old. Eventually they will have to stop fooling with Xbox One games all together. Just like they stopped making Xbox games then stopped making Xbox 360 games and now is the time to stop making Xbox One games. You can’t expect a game as new as Infinite to run good on hardware that is 9 years old. They need to put their entire focus on Series X and S and when the new consoles become more available then you will have an amazing next gen game instead of a game that runs like something from 9 years ago. I have been playing the flights on a Series X and it looks absolutely phenomenal. They have done a really good job with this game.
