BTB is sensory overload with the spartan chatter, AI, and new announcer. I would prefer to have a minimal coms option that uses Jeff Steitzer as the announcer and only gives you basic objective information similar to original Halo games.

He’s noticeably missing from BTB. It’s the game mode with the biggest potential for streaks, as well as feats like a grapple jack. Not having Steitzer feedback makes it really feel like something is off.

I’ve noticed that I’m not hearing lines from him that we know they have, but it might be a scheduling things between all inputs.
The spartan chatter does help with shy teammates (or when I have to mute the lobby because of dogs, babies, loud music on open mics)

But, BTB has a lot of audio event congestion. So I’m curious if we get an announcer AI maybe??

Edit: Last I checked for a video edit I did a few years ago, there was a collection of all of Steitzer’s lines both the ones used in all the titles, as well as unused/easter eggs, and it’s a massive amount. So there is a design reason why a lot is seemingly missing at the flight stage, so I’m curious to understand the reasoning.

Please 343 give us the option to turn off the personal AI, chatter and new announcer. They’re all very annoying.
Feel like you can’t go five seconds on this game without some edgy voice saying some stupid quip… It’s like a Marvel movie!

I honestly assumed this was just a weird glitch.
Like another poster says above, it didn’t feel like a triple kill without Steitzer saying, “Triple kill!” And it was noticeably better when switching back to Social Arena, where Steitzer was present, accounted for and awesome.
So, definitely, 343, you need to bring back Steitzer. He should AT LEAST be an option, and I would personally have him be the default option.
Just give the fans what they want: Jeff Steitzer the AI.
