There needs to be an option for Xbox to only play with Xbox players and vice versa for PC. By all means I’m a casual player I was finally happy about BTB launching so I could get to do stupid stuff with my friends or just play casually. On occasion you get into a lobby of mainly Xbox players and the game seems to feel balanced. The moment a squad of PC players enters the game is when the fun goes away. In my experience with these last few flights it’s made the game not fun just getting crushed by people with the ability to do some wild stuff. Getting whipped on when you have the dude half health and getting beamed by the sidekick just makes the game feel broken. I shouldn’t have to sweat my butt off just have fun with the game.
And I’m not the person to say that PC and Xbox can’t play together, I’m sure someone on Xbox has the time to reach that skill gap. For most players just trying to have a good time only to be absolutely destroyed just because of console just makes me want to put the game down and has turned some of my friends from playing it because they don’t want to be smacked by people that are more precise than console players.
That or make the game feel a bit more balanced between PC and Console because atm the balance is bad.
Agree 100%. I also posted about this earlier today.
If 343 does not have separate lobbies they are doing their community a huge disservice. Xbox players should not be forced with PC players and PC shoudl not be forced with Xbox players. Lets players decide if they want to join crossplay matches.

Yes this is such an idiotic decision and the game will suffer greatly from that. Give us input based matchmaking as a setting like in MCC. Bunch of clowns

As much as I agree, it wouldn’t actually solve anything. They’re supporting M+K on Xbox as well, so Xbox lobbies are still going to have M+K players.

Considering I’ve spent most my years playing Halo on a HD Ready TV at 30fps, I’m not sure I agree. Especially once you’re operating at 60fps the improvement I’d say is negligible to me at least. RIP original Xbox One players.
There’s always someone with a better TV, a better headset, a better controller or mouse, better internet and better PC/console. There’s a number of ways to get legal “advantages” but realistically the best players are still going to rise to the top regardless.
Unless we start making players using SCUF controllers at 30fps match only with other player using SCUF controllers at 30fps, then there will always be these slight differences. My impression of the gameplay is that they’re aiming to nicely balance mkb and controller, so I don’t think there is much to worry about in that department. I think we will be seeing similar % of players using opposite inputs at most skill levels.

I think you are overestimating how many pc players have 120fps monitors or gpus able to push the game to that frame rate. Actually it’s more likely there will be way more people with a Xbox Series X that will have a 120 fps feature than PC player with that kind of gpu.
And to be fair you could also argue that people with an Elite controller have a definitive advantage over people with a regular one, since they can play EVERY action without ever moving the thumbs from the right stick, so…
They need input based matchmaking, that’s it. Not hardware.

that doesnt make my statement false, more fps is an advantage over those with fewer

the fact that’s true doesn’t make it necessarely relevant to the topic, that’s the point

supporting the option to disable crossplay due to players having an advantage isnt relevant to this topic?

yes, since FPS difference won’t be solved by disabled crossplay, which is what the topic is about.

you lost me there, im for disabling crossplay due to pc having the advantage, that includes fps, cheaters etc, how is that not relevant?

How do you even know if you are playing against pc players ? It’s not like the mcc where they have a little mouse and keyboard next to the gamertag. There is no indication whatsoever right now. It’s just as likely you are being destroyed by a party of xbox players.
I partially agree with this. If it’s based on skill then console players will be matched with PC players of similar skill. However I do see the disadvantages in social, as it can be less fun for console players if they feel like they’re being destroyed most of the time.

Im guessing you can tell by movement, on controller in these tech tests you turn about as fast as a sloth so turning (180) on someone instantly is impossible

Even that isn’t an accurate way to tell, lots of controller players play on high sensitivity/acceleration.
I’m a on both. Even on kbm I play low sens, I want to hit my shots.
