Halo Infinite is phenomenal, but can we have an option to turn on/off crossplay please? I’m getting rekt by PC players. It’s not fair to go up against against PC players who can play at higher framerate, lower graphics settings that will allow spotting opponents easier. They can use cheats like aim bots, wall hacks while using a controller on PC.

Nope. Get used to it. What I mean by that is this: As a PC gamer, I get hurled with an inordinate amount of grief simply for using a keyboard and mouse. I’m nothing special, I get an average K/D and I come up against people all the time that are slaying out with controller - Not once do I hear PC gamers call for a lockout of a playerbase.
Frankly the idea is absurd at this point - We’ve been complaining about not having crossplay for years, and now that we ACTUALLY HAVE it, you want it on your terms? Seriously. Give 343 and the PC community as a whole a break.

Letting us choose like in the MCC does not remove crossplay from the game though.

I don’t think you understand what kind of work would go into having to set up console exclusive lobbies.

But I’m guessing about the same work that went into doing it for competitive. Or less since it’s already technically in the game, just not for social.
I could be dead wrong ofc. But it’s still a wish that is completely reasonable to wish for.
What’s your point though? “It takes work, therefor we should just stop asking for it” ?
It’s a live service game. I’m not asking for it to be implemented in 5 minutes.

Not at all - my point is that the console vs pc lobby argument is played out, and the “pc is full of cheaters” attitude is equally as facile, counter productive and boring. We had to get used to controllers on the pc.
Get used to mouse and keyboard on xbox, because for real? We don’t even need a pc to use mouse and keyboard with series X anymore. OP is asking to cap everything based on being in the past, and it just isn’t feasible - hell, I’m surprised they even built infinite with the xbox one in mind.
Why should anybody feel discouraged to using their preferred input instead of choosing their preferred experience?

I agree I would love the game to be no pc crossplay by default and no mnk console obviously. I think Apex Legends system is near perfect, where its the console platfroms only then if you join a pc friend you get put in pc lobbies.
That way aim assist can be tuned for pc lobbies to allow for more predictable gunfights, if need be, for the mnk players. And since mouse and keyboard objectively has the superiour skill ceiling overall /ease of use it allows for controller console players to actually have a fair playing field. Its a win win
But this plague trend doesnt seem to be dying anytime soon, every game is just throwing the two unfairly matched inputs nowadays

I’m fine with the mouse and keyboard, play how you want. its when I never had a chance because I’m being wall hacked, flinch resisted, and freaking lined with a basically full auto sidekick with perfect aim because of scripts and hacks, I’ve even found MULTIPLE sites with all these and more already available, they even tell you how to stay under the radar so you don’t get banned.

- Deadly Lock-On Aimbot
- 3D Player ESP Including Healthbars, Tracelines
- Wallhacks to see your opponents at all times
- Warning System When Enemy Is Targeting You
- 2D On-Screen Radar Cheat
- Triggerbot For Inhuman Reaction Time

The change to having crossplay forced is a terrible idea and a great way to drop the playerbase and we would’ve had the fps change increase without crossplay anyway. So don’t get too excited stroking yourself over there that “Pc MaDe CoNsOlE bEtTeR”.

There is very little context between what I asked and what you answered. Do you wanna be more constructive?
I do believe there will be an option to turn off crossplay, as in the options settings for matchmaking there is a setting for it., except the only option right now is for crossplay to be turned on.
So why would they add an off option in? Likely because it is standardized in many games that have the option of crossplay, plus there is the issue of connectivity; because connecting to some people’s internet can cause lag for others. I would assume that both PC and Xbox players will soon have this option, similar to many other games out right now.
I have to say I was very disappointed when I found out I couldn’t turn crossplay off. I’d be willing to have longer search times in exchange for playing against other console players.

Look; if someone’s going to cheat, they’re going to cheat. There’s already hardware on the market that’ll allow you to run scripts through a module, on console, using a keyboard and mouse.

Input-based matchmaking should be an option for social games, and it would be incredibly easy to implement considering that its already in the game’s code. There’s no excuse.
