Theres been a lot of debate on what the ranking system should be in Halo 4 and personally I would prefere a 1-50 system over the Reach like system.
But I got to thinking about someway that they could combine the two ranking systems. The Reach player progression would be dandy and all and you would earn your loadouts, weapons, and some sweet spartan swag, BUT there was also a 1-50 system involved that let you search for players in MM and get other sweet spartan swag. You would escentally have 2 ranks one being your competitive rank and the other your over all rank.
The competitive rank could be the 1-50 number that is your highest rank in a certain playlist, and the other would be your over all rank (recruit-inheritor or something like that).
I feel like this would be more fair to players just because the more competitive players can still play for rank and status, and more casual players can still play to rank up through progression.
Maybe it can be incorperated that when you earn a new rank in competitive you earn a certain amount of EXP in the progression system?
I think this is a pretty good idea and Id like to see the communities opinion on it.
