This is my opinion so dont get mad.
I like this specilazations in halo 4. they dont overpower any player or make it easier to get kills. Unlike cod which people get perks that allow u to runaround and get knife kills all game.
The perks are like spawn with extra ammo or unlimited sprint. From wat i have heard u should get plenty of sprint in the first place so i feel this perk wont be popular.
Wat is ur opinion on specializatons.
They have no business being in any competitive gametype. Period.
I think they clutter gameplay and add extra elements which are not needed. Halo’s prime success in Halo CE, 2 and 3 are proof of this.
I don’t see any problem with them, as long as they work well.
I think it’s a pretty cool twist on a well established series. Going this route may breathe new life into the series and might get the attention of gamers who otherwise would not have played Halo 4. I can understand those who oppose change, too, though. I honestly haven’t kept up with H4 as well as I should have but I’m pretty sure there will be a way to play where everyone starts off on an identical, even playing field.
I don’t like them, because they will cause the game to be more unbalanced.
I don’t see them affecting gameplay or balance to any substantial degree, so I’m fine with them. (:
> I don’t like them, because they will cause the game to be more unbalanced.
I don’t possibly see how they can do this as long as they are small bonuses.
I have no problem with them. For the most part these seem to be non-gameplay altering, unlike CoDs perks which completely changes the way the game plays. The only one I question so far is the Regen one, because shields seem to recharge pretty fast as is.
> but I’m pretty sure there will be a way to play where everyone starts off on an identical, even playing field.
Really? It’s been so long since the idea of an even starting field in H4 was even brought up and now that it has I don’t know what to say. You think we can get at least one consistent weapon as well?
> I don’t like them, because they will cause the game to be more unbalanced.
i dont understand wat would make them unbalanced. the perk were u spawn with extra ammo to me wont be used because u get plenty of ammo in the beginng of the game. i can see were the perk that allows u to carry 2 main weapons could make things unbalanced. but there wont be power weapons like the rocket launcher or sniper in the weapon loadouts. so most people will probably use the same thing (BR or DMR, Assault Rifle or Storm rifle) so it will still be balanced.

The Regen one, would be one of those.

I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or not. I just started posting after a long absence from this website and I’m probably lurking a lot less than I should so I apologize if it’s been brought up ad nauseam. Halo games in the past have always tried to cater to a broad audience; I don’t see why 343 would deviate from that.
they dont seem to majorly affect gameplay, just barely help you. so no, I don’t mind them.
> I don’t see any problem with them, as long as they work well.
Too bad they won’t work well.

y dont u think they wont wrk well. i mean they dont add much of an edge so.

No, a regen-field that you can deploy over and over again does not give an edge. I can see why shotguns are presented at spawn now.
And @ the guy responding to me, I was sarcastic. Sorry for being a -Yoink-.
ok so 1 out 6 or so perks is not very good. but generrally speaking perks are not a bad addition. except or regen of course.
I can’t decide what to pick for both slots, I was thinking the ammo upgrade on one and either shields or firepower or something else on the other, but anyway, I like them, but the game isn’t out yet so I can’t make a final desicion on whether or not I like them until I actually play the game.

Not a problem. Like I said, I should probably lurk more before posting. There’s another board that takes up the majority of my “forum time” so I haven’t had as much time as I’d like to keep up with Halo 4 news but that’s no excuse. :\

Why?
because 343i are taking out to put back in the game in the form of perks… becuase of the resupply perk we can’t pick up grenades a feature since CE. People will say grenade spam. but there is a simple fix… make faster movement speed and small raduis of the grenade… induvially perks don’t cause problems but they pile up into a bigger problems…
