Why not have both?
Edit: Also, this is the first sprint thread in the Halo 5 forums I’ve seen all week, thanks for breaking that streak.
Edit: Now you changed the thread title from “Remove sprint from multiplayer” whats the dealio?
It ruins the game and adds nothing.
Adapt scrub! Lol but serious pointless thread and a half. Sprint isn’t going no where if it’s that much of a deal breaker. Do not buy the game, let your wallet do the talking. play the hell out of MCC when it gets fixed. Let’s see which game has the bigger player count and maybe that will make 343 change their mind.
I personaly ally will be playing the hell out of halo 5
Just have a toggle option for customs and playlists without and everyone will be happy which is what they ARE DOING so i still don’t get why people are still complaining.
Its effects on halo gameplay have taken halo MP from one of the top 3 most popular MP games on xbox to outside of the top 10.
I’ll just put it this way, as long as halo has spirit the less people are gonna want to play it.
How about adding on to existing sprint threads instead of creating a totally redundant new one.

You assume MCC will ever be fixed. Which is pretty doubtful at this point. If it isn’t fixed by the time H5 comes out it will NEVER be. And if it isn’t fixed a -Yoinking!- year after release then I’m not buying anything else made by this studio.
I don’t think it adds anything to the gameplay at best, and at worst cripples the player, ruins the maps and slows down the game by encouraging cat and mouse gameplay or by discouraging sprinting on a map designed to be sprinted around to get places. It simply has no place and does nothing good for the game.
Sprint ruins halo, I loved halo because it was different from traditional shooters, now it’s just following the crowd. I won’t be buying halo 5. Sprint needs to be taken out, if anything make sprint in option to turn on in custom games and make a no sprint as default in halo 5. I would just take it out completely though personally.
Outside of Map design, I don’t mind it. I thought it was well balanced in the Beta, and I didn’t use it much personally. Considering that they are upping base movement speed and lowering top sprint speed probably just means I’ll use it less.

That’s a silly thing to say honestly. People want a game that’s rewarding to play, balanced, fun, and unique. From what I’ve played from the Beta it appears to be all of the above, at least to me personally.
IS it like the older Halo games? No, it isn’t. Do I mind? No.

All I can speak for 100% is myself and I know im not buying H5 because of sprint. In fact I bought a PS4 instead of an xb1 because of sprint. Like you said, I want to play a fun and unique game. Sprint combined with other Halo mechanics, mainly it’s long kill times create gameplay that is in my opinion, not all that fun. Halo is also moving in a direction that makes it not unique at all. I feel confident as a PS4 owner that im not really missing much by not playing Halo. I have games like killzone, COD AW, Destiny and soon, the titanfall sequel that offer similar gameplay. When I owned a PS2, I felt like I was missing something not having Halo CE and H2. They were unique. There was nothing like that on playstation. So I bought an xbox and then a 360.
Halo made the original xbox and h3 put the 360 on the map. Halo isn’t that kind of game anymore and I think you’re seeing that(along with other factors of course) reflected in the PS4 crushing the XB1.

I feel so sorry for people that let a very minimal Mechanic and that is what sprint is no ifs, ands, or buts about it. It’s so inconsequential when compared to what the whole game is going to be for halo 5.I just feel so babe for people like you.
No sprint as default halo for all playlist excluding for BTB; with a toggle option to turn on for custom games.

Um spirit? Did you mean sprint? Lol might want to check your word choice if you meant sprint.

Remember all the policy changes that Microsoft changed before the release of the X1? Remember when they announced it and everyone flipped? Many people went from buying a X1 to buying a PS4. Now when they changed their policies many came back, but there was still a large number that didn’t. If you bought a PS4 because of sprint, you might be the dumbest consumer I have ever heard of. Introducing new gameplay mechanics into a franchise is the only way really to keep it successful. The changes made still feel like Halo…but then again if you bought a PS4 how would you know? You couldn’t of played the beta…and if you didn’t play the beta why are you here?
It’s cheeks.

For all intents and purposes, you have not played the BETA?
So why are you here criticizing Halo?
