I have been playing COD since COD 2 and I have spent more than 15 days of gameplay in each one. I cant understand why people say that Halo 4 is goint to be the next COD.
Believe me, Halo 4 is never going to be like COD. For real COD fans (like me), COD is dead, is the same game every year. I dont feel the same as 4 years ago.
I played all Halos (except CE) and the gameplay is completely different. Halo is much more competitive. In COD, you need no skill to improve your gameplay.
Halo 4 is an evolution, and we have to evolve with it. While COD is launching the same game every year, we will be making Halo the best game ever.

OT: I’ve played a lot of the original trilogy of COD and playing it now is like eating stale bread. Although I will always be a Halo fanboy(Thats why Im on this site with other Halo fans.) I like some variety when I game.
Although I have only played CoD since CoD 4, personally, the only one I found to feel different was WaW and that’s only because of Zombies. I do like how Halo evolves game-to-game and there’s some features I’ll openly dissagree with but you can’t keep Halo exactly the same and expect it to keep the same numbers although CoD manages it, that’s because it is a game which lacks skill and any 5 year old can play it and have fun then wants the next one to play with their friends.
I played MW2 and BO with my friends and they were ok. BO’s maps were actually quite good. But Halo will never be like COD. No matter what happens and what “gimmicks” they had we have seen the core gameplay is very similar.

Thats what I mean. What ruined COD, can also ruined Halo.
people no h4-cod accusation is meant that h4 will be exactly indistinguishable from cod, the point of that argument is that halo is adopting mechanisms that it never had before that were popularized and probably brought to the attention of 343 by the cod franchise.
the mechanisms that work in cod work for a variety of reasons that dont exist in halo. Shields and the time it takes to kill is a huge reason why the bulk of things popularized by cod dont work in halo.
a simple case is sprint. In cod if you sprint at an enemy its pretty easy to gun them down fast. In halo thats not the case due to the time it takes to go through shields.
Join in progress is another thing that probably wont work in halo due to the fact that unlike cod weapons are found on the map. so a team that controles those weapons has a huge lead over any newly joined players. its not like the beginning of a match where both sides have a fair shot at the weapons. IN cod it doesnt matter since the only weapons on teh map are those you bring with you and those from the people you kill. so it doesn’t matter.

Yep. Because CoD 4 was a great game. It was a new CoD experiencie. But if you played MW2, BO or MW3 yo can feel that is the same game. The experience didnt change.
Every single Halo game is different, and that is what makes Halo “Halo”.

I perfectly understand what you said. But we dont know how this new features are going to work ingame. We have to believe that 343i are biggest Halo fans and they will never ruin Halo.
