Opinion - How much enjoyment will you get from the multiplayer?

So, after a bit of time with the game I’ve come to a simple answer to this question.
Where do you derive your enjoyment from with a multiplayer game?

The Gameplay? Unlocking & Customizing Cosmetics? A mix of both?

If you mostly just wanted a fun game to play and don’t care about cosmetics, this game is so perfect for you. A free Halo multiplayer experience is dope, and it’s what a lot of us wanted.

However, if you REALLY care about unlocking and customizing cosmetic items/ suffer from FOMO (Fear of Missing Out); to the point where that’s what you play the game for… stay far away from this game. Literally don’t even play it. Lol The cosmetics are almost all locked behind a paywall in one way or another.

If like most people you get enjoyment from a mix of both; temper expectations and try to enjoy the game. Drop $10 on the season pass and casually play to your hearts content. You’ll still likely get frustrated with how your Spartan looks the same for a long, long time; but at least it’s here, and it’s “free” ($10 every 6 months to be able to earn cosmetics).

What are everyone’s opinions so far? Where do you fall in terms of how you derive your enjoyment? I’d say I’m about 70% Gameplay and 30% Customization options.

I personally don’t care about cosmetics too much (though they’re cool)

In my opinion this game needs way more maps and modes, maybe some weapons/equipment and so on in the future.

I’ve never enjoyed the “unlocking” aspect of games. Maybe if it’s limited

But I do enjoy expressing myself. Halo is much better if I can design my Spartan look and emblems, similarly to my XBox/Microsoft profile (which I’m wearing Optimus Prime costume)

When you restrict my ability to be creative in my expression, then the game just isn’t as good. In past Halos including Infinite, I focus on gameplay mostly, but the older games also didn’t restrict your ability to express relative to games’ progression in time.
