Alright guys reasonably new to Halo 5 now what’s the best method for unlocking weapons, armor and all those goodies?
I’ve heard bronze then when no permanent unlocks go to silver than gold.
Start with silver. Don’t waste your time or RP on bronze. You have to buy multiple bronze to get a certification, while the silver has two certs and an emblem, if available.
Silver packs. Keep buying silver till you have all common uncommon and rare items. then move to gold packs.
Takes a while though. I’m almost level 70 and I’m still opening silver packs. Probably will till I get to lvl80 or so.
I usually like to play war zone Assault for REQ Points you can earn up too 1400 points withen 10 even 5 minutes if you can shut down the other team from capturing the first base. Keep doing that and you can get a silver every 30 40 minutes. Unless the match drags out to max 15minute.

Is it possible to get a non emblem permanent unlock and an emblem in one bronze pack? If not, I don’t see how bronze packs could compete with silvers. You could get two unlocks plus an emblem, and the one time use cards would be worth more, including rp boosts that will speed up the grind even more.
Even with good luck, bronze packs aren’t better than silvers anymore, and if you have my luck you’ll get a permanent unlock about 30-50% of the time with bronze packs, which defeated the purpose of buying them even before silvers started giving you emblems in addition to your two guaranteed permanent unlocks.
Skip bronze all together. Buy silvers until you stop getting permanent unlocks and start getting rp refunds. Then do bronze to get the mongoose reqs if you want them, since they’re exclusive to bronze. After that move on to gold.
Start with Silver (5000 req points) as it guarantees two permanent unlocks whereas Bronze only has a chance at permanent unlocks.
Once you have all common, uncommon and rare unlocks (you’ll know this because you’ll stop unlocking things in your Silver packs) move on to Gold packs to start getting the Ultra Rare and Legendary unlocks.
If you start on Gold (10,000 req points) you end up getting Common/Uncommon/Rare things from them and it’s a waste of 5000 req points.
I went with Bronze first, then Silver then Gold. Yeah bronze has crappy stuff but quite a few commendations are linked with weapons you get from bronze pack so that’s where I started. I had all my bronze done in just over a week anyway

Exactly. All of the people recommending bronze packs first did it that way before they made emblems a potential third permanent req in silver packs. The best way to do it now is just silvers until you get points back, then golds (with mongeese being the only thing you can only get in bronze packs, and I would strongly suggest waiting to do those unless you want a ton of mongoose one time reqs flooding your packs)

Ok so silver than gold once rare, uncommon and common stuff is all unlocked? and the only things exclusive to bronze is the silly mongooses?
Start with silver packs until you unlock all the commons and uncommons. Good luck and see you in 500 years. The req system is awful.
