This is going to be kind of a short post, but getting to the point, I know 343i wants to and will branch out to produce more Halo’s in different genre’s. Some people may say it won’t feel at all like Halo yada yada… just look at Halo Wars, does that at all feel like Halo? No. It feels like an RTS game but plays EXACTLY like Halo.
What I’m trying to say is that an open world, possibly 3rd person, Halo was developed, it might not feel like a traditional halo but it will still play out the same way.
More to the point, I would want an open-world Halo developed by some really good studio to make it. I would even buy 2 copies!
I would prefer not. I don’t really trust anyone else with the story of Halo. Some might say 343 is messing up the Multiplayer thats fine they have there own opinion but i do trust 343 with the story. Esp considering they have a few Bungie Employees.
> So, what does this have to do with Halo 4 again?

> OT: I’d only buy it if the story was made by a company other than them.
> It just won’t feel like Halo when you hear the F-bomb every 5 seconds.
I don’t see how this would work, unless its similar to fallout or elder scrolls then it wouldn’t be that bad. Still don’t see how this could fit canonically.
By rockstar?
Get out of here! The last thing we need is a GTA or even worse, pure CoD clone!
Rockstar got no idea how to handle an FPS series or even add some emotions, no, all they can do is dead, boring and stale action.
I personally could like an Open World ODST game, where you get a team (randoms or friends) with different abilities and weapons, and are to do certain missions together, Spartan Ops but a whole game ^^
Or why not add Halo RPG, now with extra big energy swords?
I’ll settle for a Super Smash Bros clone, Sony got one, and Nintendo got the original, only xbox lacks casual fun fighting games.
Or Super Chief carts, like mario cart but with warthog, wraith, ghost, chopper etc and Halo-related weapons and equipment (banana = power drain, missile pod = red shell)
> And how, exactly, would they be able to set an open-world game in the Halo universe and have it make sense?
That’s a good point, but I can smack that right down. In Halo 4, there’s a ship called the Infinity where the Spartan 4’s train and then set on dangerous missions AKA Spartan-Ops…
The Spartan 4’s may actually be accountable and explore a section of Requiem, in which a specific story may unfold.
