Open letter to 343 and Microsoft.

I hope some kind of staff or something reads this because i dont like to repeat myself, and if i dont get answers and some serious apology from someone i will press charges.

Im having a hard time respecting you, since you dont respect me at all. I have my own little rules when it comes to my Xbox. No Kinect (No:1 on my list), no unnecessary apps (especially internet explorer which is No:2 on the list), just games and things of that nature. Today i clicked on something in my dashboard called “Halo 4 Infinity Challange” and guess what 343? INTERNET EXPLORER started downloading by itself without my concent, without any warning at all.

Now when a new dashboard for example is avalible you get a message saying that you are not forced to get it, but if you want to be able to play online youll have to get it, understandable.
When a game have bug fixes in a small uppdate etc you get to choose to either get it to be able to play it online or decline the update and if so you will still have the possibility to play it offline since you bought it. thats a right i have to choose as a consumer so its clearly this isnt the usual way Microsoft or any game developer works.

I dont know how this works in the US but in the country i live in you CAN’T make this decision for me. it’s higly illegal to trick me into download something i really don’t want to have and i dont know if this is Microsofts idea to get a high statitic on the Internet Explorer or if its a mistake, or you even had anything to do with it at all, 343 but the thing is, it happend with your game.

Im sending a mail to the Xbox Support aswell in my country to get answers and if i wont get any from either you or them, well i told you already.

im usually not some kind of mr crankypants-90years-old kind of guy but i really doesnt like to get wronged, im just strongly attached to my morals, with the assumption that 99% of the forum users is ok with what you did. i dont care about that, this is a big deal for me!

so 343, for easiest contact with me you better use this e-mail: [CLASSIFIED]

Not sure if this is a joke or not.

Just delete the app, dude.
What a waste of time this was.

You had to download a free app, which can be deleted afterwards, to enter a free contest to win a car? You poor thing!! There are starving kids in Africa who don’t have to deal with this. Lucky -Yoinks!-.

Really? Dude, you need to go outside and get some air…

deal with it

nah this is a joke, or just someone really sad

How does this relate to Halo 4?

Ok this needs to be locked…

Go post this on the Xbox Forums

Wow, someone thanked him for his post?
