Open Letter Concerning Latest Halo 5 Issues

Dear 343 Industries,

With your latest update I have been experiencing frequent connection issues. I will wait in a lobby to join and then abruptly be sent to the title screen, with an error message saying “unable to connect” or “connection lost.” I am certain this is not my ISP as this never happened previously, and I check my router, seeing that I did not lose internet connection.

This also has happened numerous times, in a row, mid match. I will get booted from the match with the error of a lost connection, but again I did not lose internet connectivity. Why this irks me so much is now I am temporarily banned for 24 hours because of repeatedly quitting. I did not quit: I was booted because of an error on Halo’s end, and now I am getting banned for it.

Speaking of quitting, I do quit matches, but only when I am tossed into a warzone match that is so lopsided it’s not even worth playing - even if I am on the winning side. That is no fun, 343. Repair this shortcoming, place me in matches from the start, and I would never quit them.

Finally, why is there no possible way to directly email 343? I am forced to vent my issues in a public forum? That’s called laziness, 343, and you don’t have the courage or nerve to answer people back directly and personally.

There are many more issues, but these are among the top. As time goes by, I continue to see 343 take something great developed by Bungie and bastardize it into a bug-laden game that is increasingly becoming more unplayable.

I doubt anyone from 343 will take notice or comment on this general grievance. They have made their money, so why try and help out the little guy. I’m very close to throwing out my copy of Halo 5 and just finding some worthwhile FPS’s on Steam.
