Open Custom Games Lobby and Headset-Wearing player filter.

2 things I think Halo 4 MUST have. Heck; I would pay for an update to Reach that included these things:

1- An open Custom Games lobby where I can go and find an open game not being hosted by just my friends or recent players (Halo PC-style):

It is too hard to get a custom game together, or to find a friend that is hosting one. It doesn’t matter how many avid Halo players I add to my friends list- the numbers are stacked against Custom Games. I’d like to play a 2-hour long custom with 16 players. Like a good, long infection match in the spirit of Halo 3’s The Armory, and Stargate. I’d especially enjoy 16-player CTF on Acrophobia (Gephyrophobia remake), or Danger Canyon. The opportunity for great matches like these just aren’t there.

By the way, don’t complain about how this will hurt Matchmaking numbers. Those that want matchmaking games will play matchmaking, and those that want to play long Custom Games will play those. Everyone’s happy, and no one’s forcing anybody else to play something they don’t want.

2 - Some way so that I don’t have to be paired with players in Private Party Chat or no headsets:

It doesn’t matter how I always have “Chatty” on. Almost every player I get paired with who has a headset is in PRIVATE PARTY CHAT. How am I supposed to co-ordinate with people that won’t even hear me? I thought Reach’s “Chatty” feature wouldn’t go for people in Party Chat- I remember reading it somewhere. In any case, the other half or more never even have a headset on.

I will wait the extra time to be paired with ONLY headset-wearing players.

I agree with the first statement, but what happens you accidentally pull your headset out? (I do this alot)

I’m not even thinking about having players be kicked for pulling their headset out- simply having your headset plugged in while you’re searching for a game would be sufficient. This is simply a way of pairing together likeminded players who want to have a verbal team-dynamic. Making sure your headset is in during the few waiting minutes is worth it, I think. There might be other ways to pair us up, but this seems to be the simplest.

Ah, this has been bugging me ever since someone presented this a few days ago

I want to be matched with players with voices of similar pitches to mine. No whiny little kids please.
