Maybe I’m missing a trick here, but the vultures seem massively OP in Blitz. Despite deploying well mixed forces and using decent tactics, I’ve lost quite a few games to players who just rely on Vultures. As a result, Blitz is getting increasingly predictable and boring.
I think they are the best unit in their cost range (Forge’s Grizzlies seemed pretty good but I haven’t used them yet), but OP is a stretch given how fast a couple wolverines/reavers can bring them down.
Cycle for them if you have to. Plus they are great for Spartans to take.
The issue isn’t the vulture it’s your resource stealing. You know this resources that drop near the enemy and you think you can’t get them? Change that. Always have 2-4 choppers/rabbits ready. I usually keep mine at home base just so I know they won’t get blown up will I’m battling. Then as soon as you hear incoming you go on the move starting with the furthest from you. Remember don’t move and pan away to something else when you theifing. You have to stay in control or your units will try to attack. Mash that X right up beside that canister (not attacking it) and keep mashing it there so your units don’t do something else and steal that -Yoink-. Choking the enemy of resources is the key. Nothing is OP, it’s what it is, an expensive unit that the enemy should only be able to get one of cause, if I did my job, they won’t be able to afford it.
My Gameplay check the description for match times and beware my camera movement may make you nauseas. Went 13-0 there. Got to 21 before taking the first L to very skilled players that could cycle spam perfectly.
Thanks for the tips. Looking forward to dealing with those vultures now.
HA! Vultures suck compared to the original game.
