I dunno if it’s isabel, anders or something, but its a human who can rush 5 minutes into the game with a -Yoink- ton of sentinels that can only be destroyed if you somehow unlocked erradication by some miracle at the time.
Remember in the beta when rushes didn’t happen? Where battles happened? Where when you lost a battle you could re build a new countering army that your enemy just isn’t equiped for? And then do another counter? and people could have the whole map claimed by one person or another, try to get units everywhere at once, and go for minibases to cripple enemy supplies and be able to just do more things than them?
Could we go back to that and not -Yoinking!- unlock everything instantly how we do now?
Also, could we get a return to visually different and meaningful turret upgrades, and shield upgrades in the war council and have bases be able to hold their own against invading forces (at least for a while) like hw1 until reinforcements arrive, and have the cloaking generator not be the only way to achieve this?
By saying “unlocking everything instantly now” you’re talking about Strongholds, right? If you are, then that’s just part of the game mode. It’s easy to counter build in Strongholds.
If you’re not talking about Strongholds then there are strategies to defeat rushes. Ask around and I’m sure people can help you!
Scout your enemy so you can see what they’re building. But really If you come up against Anders just expect to be rushed with sentinals so prep a decent Anti-air defence.

LOL as far as I can tell the only defense possible is turtling with marines while their econ slowly snuffs you out. One game i tried my best to mass wolves to prepare for it and i lost 5 wolves to air units lol

Then enjoy losing, because the way you win is early game having an army you can repeatdly hit and run your foe with to distrupt them. If you’re losing to senitnals, you aren’t being aggresive enough because they take a good 10 min to get a good number of them, and I’m usually using marine grenades to blow up generators at 5 min.
As someone else said, the only game mode where you start with everything is strongholds, found only in rumble and verus AI (1/3 times). Play Team or solo war, or dominion, for what you want OP.
Unlike Halo Wars 1, rushes are actually easily counterable. Snipers, suicide grunts (if you lock your base and get a few) and tech 2 armour will all make a mess of my army.
Of course I’m using the resources you don’t have from the buildings you didn’t grenade throw to build the counter to your army already, but hey, you beat the rush.

That’s why i make turrets to hold early rushes. When u get 10+ locust well i don’t know what counters that as UNSC but with banished only way seems to be hunters that u teleport on top on locust. Everything else seems to just melt.

Man, that’s kinda stupid in that case. Didn’t even think of that before, that’s broken. After watching a couple of your vids(I subbed btw, love HW2 content!) I see you really like your locusts

Well i’m top 20 if we use this calculator izhere.net - This website is for sale! - izhere Resources and Information. and i did use this strat 3-4 times last night. One was against IxJeddeyxI whos also top 100 (i didn’t record that game) and it worked as well as in that video. Marine rush in the begin gave me little problem and i lost 2 locust but after that i just pushed out same way and even sentinels and stuff melted easily. I didn’t have any problem in any of those games.

I’m aware of the calculator as I use it daily. I have started to doubt it’s accuracy lately. Someone in teams is top 10 having 6.2886 MMR with only a 50% win/lost ratio. So theoretically it’s possible to be top 10 or top 20 and never face high level players.
With the locust in particular, I can see them working kinda well against UNSC infantry armies just as long as you can kite them. A few screw up’s and there go’s your army. And any good player from that point will keep you off of expansions and siege your base with a few Kodiaks
The question is, Does this work well against cutter infantry? He has raid 1 and 2 with giving his infantry increase movement speed and I’m not completely sure if they can kite cutter infantry. He has the ODST’s as well that stun your units and rekts pretty much anyone that decides to clump their whole army together.

I dispatch locust armies by neutering generators early on, then just building cyclops. I main cutter, can confirm they can be slowed down and combat techs plus clops make a horrible mess of them.
Could be that Cutter beats this but at least againts Forge and Anders i really think this is viable build. Remember it’s not all in. It’s tech opening that can easily change to some other unit mix with expansion behind ur push. U have 2 upgraded reactors and 3 upgraded harvesters pretty fast so it’s good build to continue with what ever situation requires. For me it’s better idea atm than trying to win UNSC infranty mix with ur own infranty that just wont win the game was good players.
