You mean crappy forged maps and “remixes”? The laziest design point ever.
I would much rather pay up front for content that actually looks like the Dev gave a damn in making. Hell 3 of the original 4 big team battle maps in halo 5 are forged by community members.
It should be telling that me and my friends, who are big team battle AFICIONADOS since halo 2 matchmaking and halo CE lan before that none of my friends like Halo 5’s big team battle. And the reason is the maps. 100%.
Basin: Hate it.
Deadlock: Horrible.
Recurve: Not as bad as the last two but still bad.
Guillotine: (this was one of my favorite maps from halo 2) Terrible. Not to mention we got a MUCH better looking version of this map eariler all updated for next gen in Halo 2 anniversary.
The two new maps are not as bad, probobly because they weren’t really based off anything that I’ve played before. This is the only way that forge really works in my eyes, creating original maps instead of trying (and failing) to remake iconic maps in forge.
You paid almost $5 for each item. Totally not worth it for me. I’ll enjoy getting them as the come. I don’t use many reqs anyway given how Warzone is designed. If you are losing there is no point is using them as it won’t matter. When you are winning, you don’t need them.
If you think that’s worth the money, good for you. I wouldn’t do it at all though. But damn, those are some nice rewards. How does the gold skin look ingame?

$5 for content already in the game, that just needs to be unlocked, most of which is not usable in Arena or Campaign.
$100 Could have bought a brand new game, with brand new content.

Honestly though, game publishers like EA and Ubisoft are the problems with the gaming industry, not the players or optional purchases.
The developers put sweat and blood into their work, they want it to be the best it can possibly be.

I played Basin and Deadlock for the first time this morning.
I actually felt like they were really high quality maps. Deadlock’s bases might look a bit ugly, but the terrain itself looks beautiful.
