Does anyone think it will take place on Onyx? That we will see Chief re-unite with Linda and Fred and others? And somehow the Spartans IVs will get to meet them or possibly fight alongside with them. Since Onyx is a forerunner world I couldn’t help but think that it might take place there since that’s what Halo 4 is mostly about them. Another thing I hope that Halsey gets to see the Spartan IIs she created once again.

Ghosts of Onyx was a great book (The only Halo book I have ever read). I’m sure there is a good chance that we will see them again. Maybe not in 5, but I have a feeling it might happen. It ties directly in the story just as all the other books, but it takes place during the events of Halo 3. It would match up perfectly and would without a doubt greatly create a better story for the campaign.
For all those that have not read the book: Read the book. I can only hope Halo 6 ends anything like Ghosts of Onyx does.
Blue Team aren’t on Onyx anymore. If the Chief meets them it would be either on earth or maybe on Infinity. I doubt any of the games will take place on Onyx. There’s no reason to go there.
Halo Glasslands carries on the story about the group trapped inside Onyx. They’re eventually found by the UNSC and let out. Dr Halsey gets arrested and the Spartans (both the IIs and IIIs) were going to be put into the Spartan VI program. There’s a chance that they’re on the Infinity already.
