i am an onyx player and I just want to know what is low onyx (close to diamond) and high onyx (close to champion) I just want to know if having a higher or lower number next to your rank is good or bad and which is what
Onyx 1500 is the lowest. Keeps going up until you are top 200 then you become champion
Says you’re a gold and silver in all of your playlists… Are you sure you’re an onyx player? Sorry for seeming rude, but come on man!!
When you reach Onyx the game shows you your actual CSR. Competitive Skill Rating is used throughout the entire game whenever matchmaking is used. Basically a numerical value the game determines as your skill, to help you match up against people of similar skill. Diamond would be 1350-1500 I think, Plat something like 1200 - 1350, etc, I’m not sure of the exact numbers.
I also have a feeling that the ‘visible’ Onyx CSR is also just another ‘front-end’ display and that there’s a second hidden Match Making Rating used to determine games. Because your rank can be artificially inflated simply by playing alot or not having played alot. What i mean is that you need to actually win alot to actually get the CSR points to rank up. For example your visible rank may be Plat 3, however you find yourself matching all-onyx in every single game. Your hidden MMR is the same as the Onyx ranked players, the game knows you’re roughly equally skilled, it’s just that they’ve teamed up and played a bunch of games and repeatedly won, boosting their ‘visible’ CSR by a tonne.
Onyx 1500 is lowest. The more you win the more you go up. Champion in a playlist depends on how many people have played the playlist. The more people playing, the higher their scores are and then the higher CSR is needed to get top 200. I think slayer last season was around 2400 to get Champion
I’m a champ
don’t need to worry about rankings I’m the best!
