How would I deny the enemy power weapon drops if I stick to using regular weapons?
I don’t understand the question
You can’t necessarily stop them from ever getting power weapons but you’re definitely able to use “map control” to your advantage.
Weapons have set spawn times, if you’re able to track that or at least estimate the time when a weapon will likely spawn and control that area of the map you will probably be able to take their power weapons.
You’re still able to combat power weapons with your default load out, you just have to adapt to the weapons that your opponent is using. Don’t put yourself in a easy position for them to kill you or take advantage of that combat encounter.
Well you can do one of two things:
- take the power weapon before them and either use all the ammo or jump off the edge of the map.
- work as a team and flank the enemy before they get the weapon.
A lot of people forget this game is based off of team tactics. Everyone just wants to lone wolf it out there and no one wants to shoot move and communicate.
If you’re communicating with your team, make sure your teammates grab them instead. But if you really want to be chaotic evil and it’s a map with bottomless pits, learn how to weapon juggle and chuck 'em over the edge.
There’s nothing worse than going for a power weapon and seeing someone grab it and jump off the edge with it. Except maybe getting killed by em… I’d go that route.
or just grab the power weapon and fire the ammo then pick your gun back up.
Regular weapons are viable for tasks like this if used correctly. That’s why they’re considered standard issue.
By having map control

well in infinite you just grab the weapon and drop it over the side of the map if you can. then go and get your original weapon.
I think most people forgot you can “drop” weapons now
to the OP, weapons spawn in set amounts of time. Fight for the weapon and use it / discard it in a hidden corner (for maps like Bazaar) or throw it off the edge (live fire/recharge). I suggest using the weapon tho.
just don’t let the player with the weapon get within the weapons niche.
A hammer? Pick them off with a pistol.
ravager? Jump in random directions and depending on range use an appropriate weapon.
rockets? Make sure to keep off the ground or stay up higher
sniper? Stay out of sight and flank while they’re scoping or pray to god you can land hits while pushing to descope them
shot gun? Stay at a distance
you get the jist. Hope this helps!
don’t ever be afraid of trying to contest weapon spawns. If you don’t, you’ve already lost it to the enemy. And if you don’t kill them, they have to risk being finished or wait before they can do anything so they have full shields

I find it easier to pick off people who are jumping since i only have to aim at where they will land to where as someone running away can change directions on me alot faster.

I kinda meant it when they fire the rocket, jump so you have a chance of living. And stay up high in the sense of them not being able to hit the ground next to you if you’re on a higher platform
should’ve elaborated more

ahh yeah my bad thought you meant like jump constantly not after the rocket was fired, my bad.
