I think there shouldnt be a “health system” in halo 4.it was really nice in Halo 1,cause it had no multiplayer,in my opinion it should be like it was in halo 3,its really -Yoink!- me off to run to the health pack every time i got shot in multiplayer
i also think i fits historically, cause the “health systems” only appeared in reach and halo 1

So when you lost all your shields you just died instantly? Pretty sure that you had health in H3 even if it wasn’t visible.

it did, only it you couldn’t see it. thats why you could take a few hits in the back and still be alive when you were shield-less
I think it should be a combination of the Spartan and Elite health systems. That is if your health is down you can use a health pack to immediately refill it, but if you stay out of combat long enough your health will slowly recharge on it’s own. This will mean health packs will be helpful, but not extremely vital. No one will really be camping health pack spawns, or just running away from people till they can get a health pack.
And besides, it is so much nicer to know exactly how much health you have left once your shields are down. In Halo 2 and 3, once your shields dropped you had no idea if you could survive 3 body shots or 20. The health bar informs the player exactly where they stand.
Lets go back to Halo 2. Even though to me if felt like Halo 2 had a invis health system too. I just hate picking up health packs. It’s another thing that slows an already slow game down.
I love how every one is going either or like there has to be one or the other.
Why can’t the both go in. like say, have the option to have either a Health bar and shield bar, or just show the shield bar.
