Only Rare Items In Arena Req Bundle?

Hey everyone,
I’ve just opened my third and fourth packs from the arena req bundle only to find yet more uncommon and rare items. I thought the idea was that this pack gave you loads of really rare stuff? So far, apart from the Mark V alpha which everyone gets, nothing I have been given has been higher than rare in value. Is this normal? Really regretting spending £20 now I was expecting ultra rare and legendary items not this crap, I don’t have the time to grind to get all the ridiculous items I though that was the point of this. Disappointed.

Everyone on here will say the exact same thing I am going to say. Get the silver packs done first because the Arena packs act the same way as the gold packs do except they give you 3 items and a bunch of boosts.

Don’t open them until you finish all of your commons, un commons and rares, otherwise you don’t get your moneys worth.

It gives you the unlocks from the pool of things you don’t have yet ranging from uncommon to legendary. It does seem to give you the lower end items IF you have them still in your locked pool of REQs. Most people are grinding for silver packs to get all their uncommon and rare unlocks done before opening any Gold or Premium packs. I would advise that you follow this strategy instead and save your Arena packs until you finish all the silver pack unlocks (look on waypoint to see how many you need left, etc…)

This.

Also, unfortunately no. The Arena bundle did not guarantee only Rare’s and better, they are just said to have a higher chance of getting you those more rare reqs.

Damn, thanks for the heads up guys, if I just keep my Arena req bundle packs unopened over the next few weeks as I finish off silver packs will they stay there indefinitely? I’m worried they’ll disappear if I leave it too long to open them

I’m 99% certain they will stay. I’ve never done it, but others have said they’ve been saving theirs, or did with the Warzone Bundle. I think they’ll be fine

They should be fine. Let the silver grind begin!

Ah awesome thanks for the info! And the grind shouldn’t be too bad! Apart from emblems I’ve only got about 40 items until I’m done with silver packs

I saved seven of my Warzone bundle packs for three months…they will stay

I don’t understand that amount of self control.

I got 2 ultra rares and an uncommon in one of my packs, Hammertime and Mark VI

I’m done with silver packs. Have picked up about 3 or 4 Ultra Rares and everything else is Legendary, including two mythics (four if you count the Mark V stuff).

I found this out with the WZ packs. They pretty much sucked except for the random legendary assassination/visor.

I just save my req points!!!

Do people understand how Rarity-based RNG systems work? If not, it’s actually quite simple:

The Rarity of an item does not necessarily represent its quality (though this almost always the case), but the likelihood that you will receive that item. That means that if you open, say, 100 Gold Packs, you will get more Uncommons than Rares, more Rares than Ultra Rares, and maybe not even a single Legendary. In Halo 5, each reward is granted once, and as such there is a finite pool of rewards. That means that every time you unlock a Common, the less Commons become available in the pool.

I do understand it, I just thought the Arena Req Bundle would exclusively give you ultra rare or higher, which to be fair I had no reason to think.

You will absolutely not regret it. I recently finished silvers and Opened all of my warzone packs. First one gave me an ONI scorpion, followed by the H2 BR, Mark V and Pile Driver.

I’m trying to do the same thing, but instead of buying the bundle online, I bought a giftcard at Target, so (I hope) I can redeem it any time I want, so after I finish silvers.

Related question: When you redeem/purchase a req pack bundle, will it immediately open the first pack for you? I don’t want to use any of these until I finish my bronze and silvers, which are a LONG way from done.

When you buy from the marketplace or add any req pack with a code, it will first show up in your list of packs on the “open req pack” screen. Just don’t scroll over it and hit the “A” button and it won’t open.
