Only thing that disappointed me about Halo 5’s story was the ending. But even then i can understand why they left the ending at such a cliff hanger to continue the story in Halo 6. Overall good job 343i better then Halo 4. What do you guys think?
The whole story felt lackluster and at the end, yes, it did just feel like a setup which I don’t like in a video game.
I prefer Halo 4’s story but the way this story was set up is going to be worth it for Halo 6’s story.
I kind of braced myself for the ending that we got. It’s so close to being a classic middle of a trilogy.

This is how I feel. Like anyone who has the knowledge of the expanded universe is probably well off, but for someone like me this was my first experience with Blue Team and you play as them for what 3 missions? Tanaka and Vale come out of literally nowhere and aren’t given any background until like the end of the game.
And HuntTheTruth? What a joke. That entire situation ended by mission 5 or 6. I think Halo 6 got a great a set-up, but when I finished the campaign all I could think of was, “that’s it?”
Also I played through legendary by myself and no legendary reward for completion and the legendary ending was absolutely missing everything. This campaign was definitely focused more on the expanded universe because next to no effort was made to explain the random gaps in the story.

Yeah totally agree.
i realized they were pulling a halo 2 pretty early on when i realized that i was really far into the game and the plot had only just started to make sense with where they were going with it. in fact i figured out the ending almost dead on a hour before i reached it (it took me 6 hours to finish the campaign)
still tho… halo 2 was worse than this… “sir finishing the fight” (Cuts to credits)
freaking evil… luckly the multiplayer and the fresh idea that was Xbox Live made the wait bearable.

Is it weird that Halo 5’s story felt more complete than Halo 2’s story? lol
