Time for some honesty if you have the courage. Those of us who got the game at launch or have been playing for a long time can remember the fun of fighting your way into the core and blowing it. You charged in, maybe died a few times, buy you fought through and blew the core. After a year of warzone and hundreds of victories that joy is gone. One more win on Apex or core destruction on Arc means pretty much nothing to me. Can we be honest and admit that both teams and randoms actually have more fun using Nornfangs, Oni Wasps, Ultra Banshees, and Prophets Banes? What’s better than pushing the enemy back into their core and shooting them as they run out? Is it really a choice whether or not to charge in with that level 9 req or sit back and take easy kills? This isn’t a team limit issue because we continue to see it even though teams are limited. Noobs rush in for that core destruction thrill, old timers snipe enemy spartans in the face for as long as possible. It’s not about stats or winning or losing. It’s just more fun, especially when you know the next match you might be the one getting wrecked, so you have your fun now and make it last as long as possible. (Hey noobs cut it out!)
So you’re saying you would rather exploit noobs running in for farming purposes than play the objective and win the round?
I know plenty of veteran players that still go for the core. I don’t think it’s as cut and dry as an old vs new player mentality.
Well, seems like i am both a noob AND an old timer! Because a year later, i still objectively go for core destruction. Victory comes with great explosion.
I have more fun going for my objectives, rather than farming kills with my REQs. My REQs are the assisting tools i use, to accomplish my goals, not stressfully hold someone locked down for like 15+ minutes… at their own freaky deaky base.
I know how annoying it is, to stay in a game where you never get to leave the homebase… No way i am pulling that stunt on others.

Fine sir. Hats off to you for not being a -Yoink- that traps people at spawn, makes them quit and makes them want to uninstall halo 5. You sir, can have a cookie and hats off to you. I respect you for actually wanting to play a fair fun game for all.

At least you’re honest about it.
So are you farming?
When I’m being wrecked by Nornfangs and Phaetons Helios, I pray for noobs destroy my core.
Farmers for life!!!
So what you are saying, you enjoy ruining the game for noobs. You are the problem with farming. Doesn’t matter what they do you will find a way to farm.
But that’s so boring honestly. Like, what fun is just endlessly killing an enemy that doesn’t even have a chance? Accomplishing the objective and moving on to the next game is more rewarding for me personally.

Going for the win makes u a noob, well that’s news to me
I kinda agree. I don’t see whats so fun with mindlessly rushing at the core, and tossing bodies at it when I can sit back and relax in safety with a sniper rifle, tank, or whatever. I’ve never been a big objective guy unless its a capture and return type.

Crazy right? Who knew going for the alternative objective makes you a noob player.
I’m confused, are you farming noobs who run in to destroy the core? Because if thats the case, arn’t you technically… you know, defending the core?
Is this a troll thread? Because I still go for the core after a year of playing. I feel like noobs are the ones who don’t play the objective and just wander around and fight bosses.
Personally I like going for the core and fighting through to see it explode and get the win.

This guy gets it. For the record, farming is when the enemy goes into your core area and spawn kills instead of blowing the core. I don’t think that’s cool at all. If you are triple capped and run out over and over and get killed over and over, that isn’t farming. That is you choosing to run into a wall of bullets. You can defend from inside. I’m not condoning spawn killing to pad k/d. My point is that in warzone I can grind my way up to level 6,7,8,9 and use a good req, but then I have to decide. Do I want to end this game now and start the grind over again, or use some fun reqs? For me winning in warzone is meaningless after hundreds of wins and losses, so I play for fun and it’s all about using fun stuff to get kills. I don’t care about k/d stats, win percentage, I’ve finished comms and the req collection, I’ve won a lot and lost a lot. There is nothing fun left to do except shoot stuff. I see lots of players in vehicles late in matches doing the same thing. I guess it depends on why you entered the match to begin with. I play for level 6. That’s where the fun starts. Everything before that is a grind, so naturally I want level 6 to last forever.
Also why is it when people get wrecked in BTB or slayer or whatever, they just admit they got whipped but in warzone every time people lose badly they say they were “farmed”? Most overused term ever. Here is a warzone secret: When the other team has you triple capped, and they are pulling out big reqs, STAY IN THE BASE. There is zero incentive for the attackers to blow the core as long as people keep mindlessly running out. Defend. Grab a BR, aim at the big door, and shoot whatever comes through it. Defend from inside and force them to attack the core base. If they’ve triple capped, you’ve pretty much lost anyway. Hang out inside, guard the doors, and get kills of your own instead of running out and dying over and over.
