Only in Halo 5 could constant dedicated servers issues keep splitting up my fireteam and then get us banned for quitting so that we can try to get a game as a group. Real nice.
This is getting absolutely ridiculous and nothing is being done to fix it as they say there is no problem.
What a great sign with a massive launch coming up. I think we can expect an MCC style launch again with what we’re seeing in 5.

Just to chime in here. How large was your Fireteam? What mode was it in? I’ll assume either WZ or BTB.
The reason this is happening is because the opposing team didn’t have enough players to start the game. So the system split your team to cater for the solo players in order to have the game start. This is by design, not a bug.
For the future, and I mean this in a nice way. This is a support forum, not a complaining forum. You won’t get anywhere by blasting your frustrations.
Take some time to write out:
- What happened? - Who was involved? - When did it happen? - What platform were you using? - Where were you playing from? - How many people did it affect? - What were you doing before it happened? - Did it resolve itself or persist? - Did it re-occur? - Have you got any supportive clips/photos?The above is a basic list of information you can provide in order for someone with the technical capabilities to assist with your issue. If you just blast them without any information they’re going to ignore you. Treat them like actual human beings and your chances of getting some assistance with the situation will be far greater.

First off, all of your assumptions are completely wrong. It happened for a full day with a fire team of 3 and then later with 4.
I have a hard time believing that “by design” people are still seeing a screen that shows them in my fireteam loading a game when on my screen the game is starting without them and we are a man down. I’ve been playing this game for 5 years. I think I know how it’s supposed to work.
furthermore, I’ve gone through the proper channels to report bugs multiple times and each time I get a message from Xbox saying they are aware but that no support is being worked on.
I bought this game on launch day. I will use this forum to complain all I want. So what if it’s useless? Your comment contributed absolutely nothing so it’s just as useless. Thanks for nothing.

Well I’m not really sure what to do for you then. If you’ve already gone down all of the avenues to have this situation addressed and you’ve had a reply that the team was aware of the situation and that it isn’t being investigated further (which I doubt). Then coming onto the Halo Forums and putting down all of your frustrations knowing full well they won’t be addressed or looked into seems like an absolute waste of time.
I to have played this game a considerable amount. I’ve also experienced many problems, I’ve always reported the issues and they’ve almost always either been addressed as a [known issue] or been looked into when reported in the correct way.
Now back to what you said above, you’ve added some information now and we can work together to address the potential problem and possibly a fix or work around for it. You stated that you (or your friends) experienced the issues all day, with first a three man Fireteam and then a four man Fireteam. Which playlist were you searching in? What kind of Xbox were you (or your friends who received the issue) on?
Now as I only have limited information I’ll make another assumption here and say that you or your friends may be experiencing the issue where when you first open H5 you need to play a custom game before going into matchmaking. Otherwise you will drop from your initial game. This is a [known issue] and predominately affects users on the One X and the Series X|S.
Any additional information you can provide would be helpful, and other forum members may also have solutions etc to contribute.
I don’t want your help. I want the game to play as it’s meant to. I gave the relevant information to the support team.
“At this time, we don’t have a workaround and can’t predict when there might be a resolution”
that’s the response I got. Yeah it reeeeaaally sounds like they’re working on it. So “doubt” all you want. I know about all the workarounds. I’ve gone down the forum rabbit holes. On this day on particular nothing worked. We just had to keep quitting and rejoining each other doing a custom game in between every attempt. Removing from quick resume every time. The point is this game isn’t being supported.

Well, if you don’t want to talk about it civilly I see no reason to keep the thread open.
Good luck, and happy Haloing.
