Only human concrete pieces in forge?

So I just saw a few video’s of forge in the MCC and I noticed a lack of metallic only pieces. While I love the newly skinned concrete human like architectecture pieces, the pieces wouldn’t make sense in for example the nebula forge map in which I would love to make spaceship levels. Are there metal only forge pieces like the ones in Halo 4 or Halo reach? Or do I have to make do with the concrete building pieces?

The developers seem to have trouble properly interpreting and prioritizing the community’s creative desires, but whatever; although it’s no Far Cry editor, it’s good enough for me, and I’m not complaining… much. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, remember that this wasn’t a blockbuster project, Forge it’s massive to be just a remake. I expect the great stuff until Halo 5.

True, but then again I expected great things in Halo 4. H2A is a massive improvement upon that, so we’ll see. To avoid disappointment, I won’t keep my hopes up, but I expect great things from Halo 5’s Forge nonetheless. Don’t get me wrong, I’m more excited for H2A’s Forge than anything else in the collection and I greatly look forward to spending hours in it, but some of the minor decisions were a bit… iffy.

Yes, I am going to have to agree with this. The stone is nice, but i would prefer a more white metallic palette for all maps.

I like the concrete design. We can finally make some decent actual city looking maps

Like not including the spectre, that really pissed me off when I found that out

That should be cool, I like that they made new designs for the pieces and just rehashes of H4 pieces

Nebula will probably be the least used by forgers, besides its just the same skybox for Halo 4’s Impact Forge map. But I feel ya, I will be making tropical BTB maps on awash!!!

Yeah, it seems that most of the palette really only works with awash. It’s a bit disappointing, but hopefully we’ll see different texture palettes per forge map in Halo 5 and/or maybe a Halo MCC DLC. My question is: If they knew that they’d only have one set of textures for all 3 maps, why did they choose Nebula? It’s really unfitting for the object textures, a Mombasa urban background would’ve probably looked alright with it instead.

Didn’t think of that, why would they choose to throw Nebula in there? It is an odd choice, terrain doesn’t fit well with theme either

stop complaining and be creative Be creative link relevent

I’ve been happy with every iteration of forge so far. Many pros and cons between them, this seems to have taken the best pieces from both reach and 4. My only wish is that at somepoint they include a Covenent tile set. All that curvy purple :3

I was thinking about it. A natural terrain map on the space skybox would be kinda cool. But, yeah, shiny white metallic pieces would have been cooler. Wonder why they skimped on other themes.

I think Nebula will be useful for making nighttime maps. Just hide the sides so all you see when you look up is a starry night. My only complaint is why does 343i hate the Covenant so much? No spectre, shade turret, or Covie purple geometry still? At least they brought back playable elites. I wanna forge beautiful alien structures like in Halo 3’s Snowbound. Also, can I have a winter/snow skybox please?
