i have recon and havnt played halo 3 odst

Before Bungie left Halo, you had to unlock the Vidmaster achievements in 3 and ODST, and then go to Bungie’s website to claim the armor. Since you can’t do that on the website anymore, 343i made it to where the armor is available to everyone. You can still get the achievements if you want, but they no longer have any bearing on who does and does not get Recon armor.
Wondered why every man and his dog was sporting Recon when I played some social skirmish the other day. Are 343i still unlocking it to players for free?

No, they are not. However, I am wondering if, when H3 comes out for free, they might release another few waves of it.
So how do you get recon now? I just got H3 and I don’t have the armor.

343i were unlocking to players awhile back in waves but they have stopped now. I don’t think you can get it doing vidmasters anymore. I still haven’t got mine but we are hoping they do another wave of unlocks.
No the vidmasters don’t work since Bungie.net doesn’t track H3/ODST stats.
Please, 343! Release it again! Anyone else with me?
