I just reinstalled h5 about a week ago. I had uninstalled it 8 months ago when I reached 152. I didn’t get some of the hcs skins since I was away for so long, so I opened the HCS pack for 80000 req points. I opened the first time and got items I hadn’t unlocked. In the second pack I opened, I got a few skins and then 2 rare arena rp boosts. I was still missing some HCS skins in my collection, so I opened a third pack. I only got rare arena rp boosts in it. So I lost out on over 100,000 req points. Did anyone else experience this? Can I get them back?

In my collection, it said I was missing some of the HCS contender red/blue skins. So I opened another pack and got nothing. An hour or two later, they showed up in my collection. My collection must not have updated. Either way, I still lost the req points.
I’m not understanding what you mean by lost REQ points here.
You’re saying the items all eventually showed up, right?
Yes. I wouldn’t have opened another pack if I knew I had all of the unlockables. Since I didn’t know, I opened a 3rd and only got rp boosts.
Ah. Well, unfortunately you’re going to be out of luck on that. No way to get the RP back. Just use the RP boosts.

I do seem to recall someone else mentioning a similar issue a while ago but I’m not sure. Do you get legendary RP boosts at least?

No, all of them were the standard rare arena rp boosts. The ultra rare arena rp boosts give 750. So I think the rare give 500.

80k is equivalent to 20 gold packs. I really like using the reqs in gold packs, so I wouldn’t say it’s nothing. It really matters to me.

Last time this happened with the HCS pack people were being refunded Req Points so it is possible. An I’m a 152 and 80,000 Req Points is a lot. There selling 13 Gold Packs for 30 dollars so Penguin basically got jipped out of 50 dollars because he could have bought 20 Gold Packs with that 80k of Req Points. You find that acceptable? I don’t.

He got what he purchased: 3 HCS packs. He unlocked all the items in the first two and got RP boosts in the third. It’s not Halo’s fault he bought them all.

It is there fault, Penguin shouldn’t be able to purchase any HCS Packs then if there are no unlocks then. That’s misleading customers also why did you assume Penguin is a he? Assuming peoples genders is rude.
I don’t understand why they would allow you to buy a special pack if you already have everything from it. They should at least just give you the req points back, 5 useless boosts for 80k is ridiculous
There’s been reports of purchases or unlocks not immediately showing up since the game released, or the animation not working, or inventory not immediately updating. Unfortunately, it’s pretty intermittent, and I could only speculate on why it occurs (network latency, something on the back end synchronizing, etc).
However, I do think this is akin to purchasing a gold pack when you have all of the unlocks that are given through gold packs (helmets, armors, weapon certs, etc). You know you have everything you can possibly unlock with the packs as soon as you start receiving 3000 RP cards as your first two cards. If I decide to buy gold packs after I’ve unlocked everything, then that’s on me. At some point, I have to accept responsibility for my actions. Caveat emptor and all that. I switched from blue to gold packs when the blues started returning RP. That’s how I knew I unlocked everything the blues had to offer.
For the HCS packs, I’m not quite sure as I don’t known what they are supposed to contain. If they also contain boosts, and those are guaranteed, then some people may want to buy those specifically, even if they already have all of skins.
I think it is misleading … I missed out on this pack the first time, so I thought this was finally my chance to get the Challenger armor. Opened the first pack and got the HCS emblem. Opened a second and got 5 rare Arena XP boosts!! NO CHALLENGER AND XP BOOSTS??? … NOT worth 80,000 REQ points!!

The HCS pack didn’t give any req points back, though. I am obviously aware of that mechanic, since I’ve played more than the majority of the population. However, I have never received xp or rp boosts in a special pack like this before, so I didn’t know that was the sign that I had unlocked everything. I thought that maybe I had gotten unlucky by receiving 3 weapon skins and 2 arena rp boosts, especially since I didn’t have the HCS contender skins in my collection. That’s why I opened a third pack. No one would open the pack for the rp boosts; that just doesn’t make any sense mathematically. Also, there is no mention of boosts in the description of the pack.
