I don’t understand why I can’t unlock the additional emblems or helmets I still need to complete my collection. I’ve tried buying gold, silver and bronze packs and no luck – every pack I buy just gives me back some requisition points, but nothing else.
Am I missing something here?

As far as emblems go, some emblems can only be unlocked via commendation completions. I don’t know why your armory wouldn’t be filling if you haven’t unlocked all the armor though.
Some emblems, a few armors and helmets are not available in the req pool. These were either purchase, limited time, or as noble 29 mentions commendation or game based unlocks.
Some skins, helmets, armours and emblems are locked. Either you need to complete commendations to get them, buy req packs e,g HCS or play with 343 staff members to unlock additional content such as skins.

I have been looking for a list like this for a while now. Thank you for your work on it!
There are many items that aren’t available in the general req pool. Check out some of the links above and you may find your answer.
I for some reason can’t get the Woodland Mongoose from the REQs. I unlocked stuff with silvers but it gave me REQ points before it gave me the mongoose. Not that I really care, it’s a standard Mongoose, but still, just saying.

Buy a Bronze pack.

Like snickerdoodle said, you’ll need to buy Bronze packs to unlock the mongoose and its variants.
For some reason they do not unlock in Silver packs and you will end up getting REQ points. I don’t know if it’s a bug or not, and I did post in the support section on here but the forum team never addressed it.
Once I ended up getting REQ points in Silver packs I still had 4 Mongoose variants to unlock so I started buying Bronze packs and got them all in around 5-6 Bronze packs I think.

Mongooses were the last things I unlocked after getting everything else. In a way, it’s quite ironic.

Thanks. I don’t really want the Mongooses so I will just continue avoiding Bronze Packs

I avoided the bronze packs, as I did not all of those mongoose and AR variants, but the sneaks started putting the certs into my daily win packs. So I have everything.
I would definitely check to see if they required purchases or commendations. If not, the Halo Admin are pretty great at getting back to their users so I would contact some help link on Halowaypoint.

When I started the REQ collection grind, I thought I should do golds all the way. I was shown the Bronze, Silver Gold grind. Finished collecting everything in the REQ pool by level 130. I still recommend people do it that way.

This is a really old post (Last year). If your getting back 6000 rp on the golds, that’s good… You have everything unlocked. Achilles is earned through belonging to a company that has completed all the kill commendations. The rest of them are earned through completing your personal commendations or a special event or task.

If I had to guess he classic helmets pack is also part of those missing.
