They got rid of the custom loadouts and ordinance drops.
Warzone was a good idea, I just don’t like some of the implementation.
Forge is fantastic. I have zero criticisms or complaints in that area.
Basically, they started on the right path of steering the series back on course by stripping out some of the problems introduced to the series. But they lacked the follow-through and stopped removing things before they got to the sprinting and the abilities.

I feel like warzone was just a cash grab for them, they shoulda just made warzone a bigger big team with either 12v12 or 16v16

I’m not a blind loyalist, but I know a good, polished game when I see one, and I know when I’m having fun. You want a broken game? Go try out Homefront: The Revolution. Then talk to me about Halo 5 being a bad game.
I don’t like to talk about Halo 5’s positives because those fanboys already do it enough as is.
There are a small amount of things I feel Halo 5 does better than previous games though.
1. The Audio and Visual Feedback Cues
Halo 5 has a lot more informational feedback. Ability recharge meters, shield recharge meters, sounds for picking up grenades, sounds for killing people, sounds for hitting people, hitmarkers, so on. This is all very useful and a very good thing.
2. Forge
There’s nothing I can say that hasn’t already been said. The controls present a bit of a learning curve, but other than that it’s vastly superior to previous iterations in almost every way.
3. Movement, Sandbox and Aiming
Obviously still very flawed, but I can think of Halo games that are worse. I’d rather deal with Halo 5’s base movement and aiming than that of Halo 3. Or Halo 5’s killtimes than those of Halo 3. The weapons sandbox is a noticeable improvement over Halo 4 as well. But no, I’m not saying the sandbox is actually good or ideal, because it isn’t. This isn’t “the most balanced Halo to date”.
4. "At least it’s not Halo 4"
Yeah, yeah, they removed a ton of the awful stuff Halo 4 experimented with. I don’t think that should even qualify as an argument, but I’ll acknowledge it. Of course then they added some new terrible stuff anyways.

I’d have rather seen it without all the different weapon variations. They can keep the req cards to call in vehicles and regular power weapons. But by having so many different versions of the same gun, it brings in an aspect of CoD that I always hated. You can now lose a 1v1 shootout, not because the other guy shot better than you, but because he has a better version of the same gun.
Also, some gametype variation would be nice in Warzone. Why not Warzone CTF where there is a flag at each base you can capture, but the bosses drop neutral flags when you kill them that you can capture as well. Why not Warzone King of the Hill, where the hill spawns on the boss and moves around with it, so that the hill is never safe(and a new boss would spawn as soon as one is killed).

I’ve always been a btb fan and I feel they shafted btb in favor of warzone, but your ideas are interesting.I wish they had a classic ff with a certain amount of lives and no time limit or a wz version of that which would make people play more conservative
I love this cheery attempt at splitting the online community! Top form!
I’ve been a Halo fan since CE came out, and no single game since then has been without issue in one form or another. Enjoying the merits of a game, and disliking the errors in a game, has nothing to do with the studio which made it.
In this case, 343i have done an admirable job creating a visually awesome campaign, with a diverse although disputed range of characters. Totally new, fun, and adaptable movement mechanics. Character scenes laced with a lot of nuance that many people totally disregard.
No, the campaign is not free of errors, but it his many many positives that easily redeem it.
Online has certainly had it’s hurdles. But when issues have arisen, attempts at fixing them have been prompt.
So as someone who enjoys Halo 5 because all of the elements that make up the game, I am still not a “fanboy” by your single faceted short sighted definition. However, Halo 5 has given me reason to have high hopes for the future of Halo.

I find it funny that you label the people who disagree with you as fanboys and say they are calling you haters. That type of division is why yall are always arguing. In a way we are all “fanboys” of Halo. If we weren’t, we wouldn’t be posting on this forum with our hopes/complaints.
I like to see the perspective of other people, I read somewhere that the best way to learn is to listen to someone who disagrees with you. That doesn’t mean listen to find an arguing point, but to actually listen to their perspective. I’ll argue my stance if attacked on it but I like to just see what people think and see if I can see where they are coming from and if they have a legitimate complaint. It does help when people actually give more than I hate this because I do.

Shut up with that dividing the community crap, regardless of what u think that was not the intention of my post,it was actually a positive for fans of the game like you to hear what people who don’t like the game thinks are positive.people agree with your opinion and people agree with mine don’t try and start something with that simple minded label or community divider bs

I think it was because of your choice of words. Might want to put quotes around haters and fanboys to clarify a bit of sarcasm in it, show it’s the so called “fanboys” and “haters” type of thing

I meant halo 5 fanboys, not halo franchise fanboys. And I’m trying to hear what the people who don’t like Halo 5 think 343 did right. And I’m not a community divider or any of that bs.And I don’t label the people who disagree with me fanboys,I label the people who think everything done by 343 is a godsend and that we should either learn to adapt or play mcc as the fanboys
