Now, if I’m understanding things right, we have 4 more updates. The final one being released in June of this year. Like anyone else I’m looking forward to seeing what these updates bring, but Bravo says in it:

So if we’ve gotten 11 maps already then that only leaves 4 more left ( 1 per update) out of the 15 they said we’d get way back when. I guess this means that the forge BTB maps ARE part of the 15 free maps after all. I remember some saying they weren’t…
If this is the case, I must say I’m very disappointed with BTB and the DLC MAPS (just the map portion) for Halo 5. I just feel like BTB has been kicked to the curb in Halo 5 bit time!!! Forge maps shouldn’t be included in the 15 free DLC maps IMO and I hope in Halo 6 they realize this and don’t do this again. 343I would be better off to just give us these forge maps and specifically say they are NOT DLC maps. People would be happier I think. I don’t hate forge maps at all, but for the whole BTB playlist to be JUST forge maps, just isn’t cool IMO. BTB really needs some developer made maps. Many people have said they should use altered warzone maps for some BTB maps and I agree whole hearty!!!
Also 343I can we please have some arena maps (non warzone) that aren’t all city/building looking? Maybe a snow one, forest/jungle, ancient ruins etc. I just feel Halo 5 maps are all so much the same. I know some are different, but nothing really stands out for me in halo 5. They aren’t necessarily bad or anything but ya, nothing stands out. I like the new area map Torque but once again it’s an inside building one. It’s in space and has the H2BR so that its a saving grace lol but still… I think you guys/girls know what I’m saying here.
What do others think? Am I right in understanding that there is only 4 more maps? If I’m wrong, please let me know. Post some links etc.
It’s pathetic that they’re counting the new city map in warzone and warzone assault as two different maps, as well as the same recycled generic arena maps.

Well they said before Halo 5 came out we’d get 15 DLC maps, and Bravo said we’ve gotten 11 already…so where have they said there is more to come?

First off, I never said I didn’t like any of the maps, where do I say this?? I just said a lot look too much the same and secondly I never said I didn’t like forge maps either. Maybe you should re read my post.
I’ve got to agree with OP about the maps. The updates so far have been great, but counting all those forge-made maps was kind of lame. Specially seeing some of the forge maps people have made already, they are better than the ones released in the DLC for BTB
Well thats incredibly dissappointing, i was really hoping for some bigger/non-cramped arena maps, some non-forged and bigger BTB maps, and at least 2 more warzone maps. BTB and arena could probably get by on remakes getting added into matchmaking, but warzone needs some map variety in the worst way.

Ya I was too, and I guess there is a chance in the final 4 maps that we might get one original developer BTB map, but unlikely and yes I do agree that warzone does need some variety though too, that’s for sure.
I kinda figured when they announced the “free maps” that they would count their in house Forge Maps into that number. I was hoping I was wrong, but looks like I’m not. I don’t totally hate Forge Maps, but those maps that can be made by the community, should be left to the community to make. We should be getting full premium maps from the developers that have the assets to work with that the public does not.
Also they should not count the same Warzone, and Warzone assault map as 2 seperate maps. That’s a cop out. It is the exact same thing, with just a different mode attached to it.
I think they should add some more especially for warzone. But I hope they didn’t scrap the rig remix, it was a good concept and with some ash effects falling from the sky and the lava it would have been amazing.

Ya I kind of thought so too, but I was hoping not as well and like you I don’t hate forge maps either, far from it. We should be getting, in your words “full premium maps from the developers” I agree. Ya the warzone map counting as two is a cop out too… it’s like really 343I? come on now lol
