Only 4 major characters in infinite campaign?

Last week 343 revealed the voice actors for the Pilot and Escharon,they said they join the voice actors for Chief and Cortana.So it could be that the whole Campaign will be focused on only those 4 characters.
I believe this could be the case cause they wanna tell a simple story and that the new players don’t have to know what happened in previous games.
What do you guys think?

I hope you are wrong. Need more characters then that otherwise this implies the campaign will be extremely short.

Could be. Could also be that they don’t want to give away any story details so are keeping other cast under wraps until after the game releases?

I think more that other Characters will be introduced in future dlc/expansions.But i would like to see Arbiter in this first story.

This is perhaps toooo simple? An open world game where only four characters talk? I guess they just don’t revealed more voices to avoid story speculations.

Yeah. Even Halo CE had more then 4 major characters.

Cortana
343 Guilty Spark
SGT Avery Johnson
Masterchief

And let’s be honest. For an open world game that is supposed to be a platform for 10 years. You need a large variety of integral story characters.

I think the only reason this would be done in first place is cause they might have future expansions planned in next 10 years and wanna introduce other Characters and possibly new locations like Reach,Ark later on.
