So we are literally days away from release and so far we have only seen the ghost, banshee and the wraith. Is this it?
We have seen a fair bit of the campaign and a very vehicle centric spartan ops mission and we haven’t seen any signs of another vehicle.
We have also seen virtually all of the multiplayer maps and there is nothing else there either.
I was expecting to see a warthog counterpart, a spectre or revenant, but so far there isn’t one. Is 343 deliberately hidding it away from us?
What else could we get aside from the Revenant or a Warthog reskin? Its not like the Covenant has the money to throw away on such vehicles.
Its possible because the Storm Faction has little support thus why they have less vehicles and not much ships in their fleet. The Storm Faction is a recent group of Covenant so they have less support from Sangheilios all they can rely on is the Kig-yar, Brutes, Unggoy, etc to provide them with the supplies. Once a faction is made and you betray your own people, you get less support and the only support you have is the Loyalists.
You’re forgetting about the Phantoms, the Drop Pods, and the Cruisers ;D
But I do highly expect the Revenant to be in. It was Jul’s main transport in Glasslands.
I’m really hoping the Locus is in, and drivable! You could also bring in the Vampire. But other than those two, there’s really nothing else.

CE only had two vehicles in which we could pilot on their side; The Ghost and the Banshee. I am not sure about the PC version but the Wraith is not playable in the console versions. It’s in the Campaign but you can’t use it to kill aliens.
Revenant could be in Halo 4 even though i am terrible at using it’s turret to attack things.
I miss the Halo 3 Scarabs.
Fighting two Scarabs simultaneously in Halo 3? Definitely one of the highlights of the campaign imo.
Also, I hope the Revenant comes back, it was a fun vehicle.
I hope the Revenant is in Halo 4; I’ve grown fond of it.

I personally went nuts when i found out you don’t have to land on the Scarab to take out the core and instead destroy some flimsy armor in the back to blow it up with missles :P. The first Scarab encounter on The Storm was legit; the second time was just epic. A bit of a pain on Legendary though.

Yeah, on the Ark I remember figuring out that I could just shoot off the back armor and just nail the core from a distance. Made the fights a lot easier on Legendary.
On the Covenant though, we’d do it “Delta Force” style, as we called it. I’d fly two of my friends onto the top of a Scarab with a Hornet. They’d hop off, hit the core, then I’d fly back in and pick them up. Player four would usually keep the other Scarab’s attention until we were done with ours.
If anything old Revy will make a return. I don’t understand why people are getting all fussy about the lack of covie things. This is no longer the human covie war in the last trilogy. Its (atleast in halo 4) about the prometheans. The covenant is still present yes but they arn’t the main focus. If anything the removal of playable elites announcement should have been a sign for all of this.

You should try The Ark and The Covenant back to back LASO. Just… epic. None of my friends have beaten my score of 220k
(But let’s keep it on topic yeah?)
Since they’re not the main focus, I doubt we’d see more vehicles for them. I hate the fact that Elites aren’t playable. I think the Covenant weapons and vehicles should be abolished in MP. I mean why would be play with the weapons but not as them? I hate that they killed the Elites off slowly since Reach.
Ah well, back to basics it is then. Just like a lot of other things in H4 are a throwback to CE. I don’t mind it really.
