Halo 5 will have three major sales and population hurdles. 1) People who have decided that console gaming is no longer for them (a fast growing demographic). 2) People who don’t like the direction that 343i is taking Halo in. 3) People who don’t want to pay huge money just to play Halo anymore.

Well even with time zones your a low life 8P I kid I kid. But most people don’t seem to understand that time zones effect the population quite a bit. The other thing is 20k isn’t really that bad. I hoped onto FC3 the other day because I enjoy that MP too and it had 150 that’s right 150 people playing it. So 20k is awesome compared to other FPS.the only one that actually does better then Halo is COD and since its super noob friendly more people play it. And by super noob friendly I mean this: I just got 3 kills sweet I’m calling in a care package. Awesome I got a helicopter to get all my kills. Game end… IM SUPER AWSEOME I WENT 30-2 YOU ALL SUCK BEEP BEEP BEEP. IM THE BEST COD PLAYER EVER!!! When in reality the omnipintant computer got all your kills and you hid in the corner in the farthest most untraveled area of the map

In all seriousness it isn’t a big deal. You’re talking 20k when most of the US is sleeping. I agree that the population has been going down, but it’s fine as long as you can find games. I know that I don’t have time to get on and play every single day, and if you put everyone that plays Halo 4 on at once that the numbers would be much much higher than they are now. The peak population doesn’t mean anything.

When you posted this, it was around 2 hours ago, which was 8:30am Eastern Time, meaning that most of North America is still in the early hours of the morning. I don’t know about you, but I don’t get up at 6am to play Halo. It should be no secret that North Americans make up for the biggest chunk of players. And Halo 4 is, what, #4 on Xbox Live? Do you know how many devs would kill (not literally) to be at #4 in the top played? Or even in the top 10! Halo 4 is fine, stop complaining…
And so what if the population is lower? Population isn’t everything, you know. I still play Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer, even if it takes me a few minutes to set up a game. I have a blast playing it, just like Halo 4, and am still able to find games, so it’s good enough for me!
