I think he means really competitive game modes. But to be honest the whole of ranked matches are competitive.
Two competitive modes involving the flag? I can only think of CTF (BTB or not) and Breakout (which is now riddled with teabaggers)
Most modes are competitive, most notably some of the social modes, since that’s where sweaty players go to pad their Arena stats. If I want casual, I usually play ranked.

CTF at it’s core is a competitive mode. It comprises of teamwork and has a ranked component.
I would like Oddball or KotH but CTF should stay
3v3 slayer doesn’t work as the maps are designed for 4v4

To clarify by two competitive game modes I meant at the time of my post there were only two ranked multiplayer options.
They were
Team Arena
Hcs summer
As you can tell from my post this was alarming.
I’ve been back since and all the usual suspects have returned.
Assume this was an issue with their systems or mine at the time.
Glad it’s been resolved.
Now back to ranked slayer where I belong.

I would happily play 3 on 3 on any of the slayer maps. Maybe not regret which accurately describes my emotions after playing that map.

I actually wouldn’t mind 3v3 as social but not ranked…
