it’s stupid how there is only 10 playlists including warzone and warzone assault. Halo 3 at times had 11 ranked playlists. Halo Reach had 26 playlists. Halo 5 is lacking in options/content big time.
Be warned that you’re going to be given an answer about population dilution, an argument which I had not heard before the disastrous release of the MCC (though I admit I didn’t bother with Halo 4 and they may have made that claim back then as well).
Relax… it is coming… Entitled… change your diapers… It is hard to make a AAA game… You go make a AAA game Oh there are so many more…
/sarcasm
Just thought I would get you ready for what is coming! lol
Either 343i is utterly clueless or they are plain lazy.

More that they don’t bother making temporary playlists that should be permanent to start with permanent!

Halo 4 was hit pretty bad in the later years. I completely understand if 343 is scared. That doesn’t mean I necessarily agree.
Do do you guys have a problem with that, or something?

I helped you with your post.

I am in no means trying to defend 343, but I think many people have forgotten that half of their employees were left to develop and take care of tmcc, while the rest were left to develop halo 5. Considering how they wanted to give halo a new direction in terms of its gameplay, there likely wasn’t much time to develop previous playlists that were adopted in halo 4, leaving us with a lack of game types. Not to mention that if 343 were to have fixed tmcc in just 1 month opposed to 4, then the employees of the mcc could’ve possibly come back to work on halo 5 on the remaining components of the game, like additional playlists.
This issue of population dilution with developing more game types would be entirely avoided if 343 tried to deliver on game types from launch, allowing the player base to retain a healthy count. Unfortunately, this company is far from perfect, as we have seen with halo 4 and halo tmcc.

Two in one thread.
But wait, you can play your favorite game mode on the weekend, if 343 decides to let you.
But when you fire up your Xbox One on Monday, don’t expect to see it there.

All I can say is wow… Now it is half the team went to fix MCC… With the way MCC was fixed that really makes it look bad since it is still a mess…
But actually 343 expressed there were always 2 teams, not the same groups working on those projects so I find this post interesting.

Doesnt explain why they will only let us play certain gametypes on the weekends only. And remove them. They game types are there, they just choose to not make them permanent in the game.
Not to deviate from the subject at hand but why on earth are there still so many playlists on the MCC? I can hardly find games in 2-3 playlists. They really need to consolidate it down to be honest and get rid of the rankings.

I have no reasonable answer for that question, other than population dilution and the player base being too spread thin, which again could’ve been avoided. The only way that those weekend playlists could have been permanent is if there was enough demand shown in those playlists, with consistent votes for the same gametype. The problem with that system is that the winning playlists don’t stand a chance against new options, as everyone wants something new at that point, which was shown every time a winning playlist returned as an option.
