Wow this is a joke. Its gonna be Reach all over again.I’ve read that theres gonna be more maps but in forge world variants. What do you think of this?
Quality vs. Quantity, Halo: Reach had a LOT of maps (if you count forge world maps) but the problem is none of them played well (besides some forged maps). From what I’ve seen, Halo 4 maps play nicely. Haven, for instance, looks like a symmetrical slayer-player (lol) dream
I have no problem with there being only ten maps if they’re all of good quality. Just like Kyler said, quality over quantity. Would you rather have a lesser amount of well balanced maps, or a larger amount of terrible maps?
In plus, there may be forged maps for us to play as well, who knows?
That points directly at Forge World maps…Forge World maps everywhere! But we have the map pack to look forward too, and hopefully (if there is a new forge world) Forge World maps. Hopefully the new Forge World will have more color, Reach’s was green and gray, barely any color.

Im afraid that the forge world map variants will be flooded in matchmaking like Halo Reach where you get mostly FW maps
Ten maps does sound a little low. Thinking about it though, I would have to say it sounds about right.
Don’t forget that there will also be at least three DLC packs slated for post release. I still won’t count these eggs in my basket yet.
More importantly is that we have no idea what Forge will offer us this time around. I hope that the days of only having a gray palette are over.
I’d rather have 10 quality maps than have 3 of them be indistinguishable grey blobs.
Quality over quantity, you say? That’s funny, because Halo 2 had a large amount of great maps…
There will be 10 BRAND NEW maps, 3 DLC with probably a total of 8 additional maps. Something everyone has forgot forge has the potential to be amazing because in the may gameinformer 343 said that the infinity has a holodeck that can display images of anything and everything the unsc has discovered. in multiplayer the spartan 4s will be training on the holodeck. halo 4s forge will most likely not be like reach’s where it was one map that was forgeable. halo 4 will be amazing for forge if 343 uses their brains.

Agreed im tired of watching these grey maps on Reach, i hope Forge World will be improved in Halo 4

I never said you couldn’t have both, but if you had to choose between the two would you really pick quantity? I doubt it.

I hope those days end in Halo 4
Like Kyler said quality is what matters. You can play One good halo map hundreds of times in slayer without it getting boring. 343 has had ALOT of time to make this game so i have faith that most if not all of the maps will be very well put together.
Plus forge most likely got a much needed overhaul and wont be the bland one color creations we had in Reach.
I personally wouldn’t mind playing on very few maps, but enjoyed them greatly. Reach had a multitude of maps, and I dislike many of them greatly.
As many others have said: Quality over quantity.
As two other people have already said: Quality>Quantity.
No no no, limit the number of forged maps to one or two at most. If you want more, stick them in a seperate “community” playlist. I want to play the maps that shipped on disk for 95% of the time. And keep in mind that there are already 3 map packs confirmed. This brings the total up to 19 maps, which is plenty, if you ask me.
I do have to admit that Sword Base was a good map but was still limited on what worked well

Yea i hope that the 10 maps that they will ship will be good. They’ve been working on Halo 4 for 3 years and they still have this summer.

I think everyone would like to have both quantity and quality. Since that isn’t happening, we would in the end, choose quality.

Indeed, this is quite true.
