I know this is old news and the game has been out for a very long time, about 7 years I think, and lots have people have asked this question. I do know how to do it on lan custom games.
So I want to know can we do weapon lowering online? Or is it still only lan games?
I dont think its possible in a online match but I have never tried, so i dont know.

It isn’t possible on online games.
As with all the Halo Games that allow “weapon lowering” (with the exception of Halo: CE) you have to be offline to be able to lower them since pretty much the only reason you would lower your weapons would most likely be for Machinima purposes…which you wouldn’t really do online.
