Will we be able to render Halo 4 film clips and watch them on the site like Halo Reach and Halo 4? Or will we have to buy our own capture card to upload clips?
You will have to buy your own capture card, we know nothing of a rendering system for Halo 4.
I’m not sure about any rendering system for Halo 4, as they haven’t said anything about it yet. Well, here’s hoping there will be.

Don’t know anything yet about a rendering system. Until they implement something, were just going to have to use Capture cards.

Nope, they said back in March that they had no plans to continue the feature.

Yeah, I’ve been scouring the reviews for info on theater mode and it’s been barely mentioned (the reviews all copied each other for the most part as well) so I’m in the dark on this one.
For capturing, the PVR2 is the one that just came out where you can capture on the fly, play while capturing in 1080p etc. This is the one I plan to pick up. I have films dating back to Halo 3 I’ve been saving.
I have a Hauppauge HD PVR as well. Good piece of equipment.
Sad that they don’t provide a way to render on line for Halo 4. You folks without capturing hardware are out of luck.
You think there will be some nice people out there that would every once in awhile Record a film clip for somebody else and send it to them? <3?
It stinks because that’s how I made money off Youtube with my Halo videos.
I don’t have a nice capture card. And even if I did, my computer sucks and is not able to handle a nice HD Capture Card so now I have to buy a whole new computer and a capture card to keep making Youtube videos.
Oh well, nice investment I guess.

So basically, we can still record stuff, we just cant transfer it to the internet easily?
And capture cards are soooo expensive!!!

They have said there will be possible updates in the future to add more features.
