Online expirence is not that great

I’m new to the halo online expirience, but it’s hard for me to enjoy it.(I play on PC)

I know the player base is small but why are there so many good players against me, is there no matchmaking, are there just no bad players to play against me, I don’t get it.

How are the enemies hitting so consistent at long distance, I don’t know if they’re hacking or just good players, I have good aim, but at long range I hardly hit anything, but a lot of my opponents hit every shot, is there a trick how to make the shots hit or is it maybe the server that don’t let them connect, sometimes it feels in general like the server is not letting my shots connect

The multiplayer is fun when everything works fine , but right now it’s hard for me to enjoy it and when the bad players always get stomped by the good ones it will end like Titanfall 2 where only the pro players are staying and new ones quit immediatly.

Have some of you a similiar experience or is it just me?

PC odds are using some sort of cheats… But also as MCC is old Halo games the majority of the players who play are big Halo fans and have been playing a long time so most are probably good at the game.

But quite honestly I don’t see how any one would want to play multiplayer on PC. PC multiplayer is about who has the best hacks/cheats not actual gaming. All you see now when it comes to PC gaming is cheating.

Looks like a PC topic posted in the Xbox section, not really a problem though. I’ve noticed a number of players using controller on PC myself, which comes with some pretty intense auto aim. That might explain the frequent pinpoint accuracy. I’m an Xbox and PC player myself, so I like to use both peripherals when playing on PC. Keep in mind also that the MCC appeals mostly to a classic Halo fan base, who are probably mostly veterans of those games in the collection. The MCC doesn’t appeal much to newer gamers or people who have never played the classics back in the day.

Generally speaking you run into two types of players, Players that have been playing the game since the original release and have incredible experience and a team of players to back them up. Then you have the brand new players that don’t know much about what they are doing and they are a bit confused with all the different games and play mechanics. This leads to very one sided matches. There isn’t a large middle ground of okay semi experienced players. Don’t stress too much. Try to find fun where you can.

The main problem is that they are old games and a lot of halo veterans like myself still play it. I’ve been a big halo 3 player since 2007. It’s my most played fps game and I still enjoy it up to today. It’s just really easy for me again and again to get back in the game and destroy people with the battle rifle. It’s just in my hands because of so much play time. Even after months of not playing it’s just second nature playing with the battle rifle again! You just need a lot of practice and you will get there!

I don’t believe this is true… of course, there are hackers, but those are everywhere (even on Xbox 360), if anything the Xbox One managed to deal with most of them (I doubt they got rid of everyone). Also, PC gaming has many benefits when you have a decent PC to begin with, such as more power for FPS, graphics, more freedom (usually games have adjustable FOV, resolution, sound effects separately), the ability to play with a mouse and a keyboard (which in my opinion is better, at least for the shooter genre). Consoles are often heavily limited in what they can perform. Not to mention the community of the majority of games starts to shine on PC with mods.

In terms of MCC, I can barely play Halo 2: Anniversary on my Xbox One, FPS drops are very noticeable and aiming feels… heavy and floaty (specially the most detailed maps). However, on PC it feels like the jewel of the collection.

To be honest, the only advantage a console has in terms of gaming is the balance of hardware, but that isn’t important anymore when there are different versions of it. And even then, console only serves one purpose, gaming.

OK, I know know why I feel like I’m handicaped, it’s because the aim assist is way to overpowered, it is exactly like it should on console but against mouse players it’s unfair. I tried it with a controller and was instantly a lot better, it felt like cheating especially when playing against mouse players. Yeah 343, you have work to do.
