In Episode 1 and 2 of Hunt the Truth, several people Ben has interviewed said to have encountered John at the age of 12. Deon Govender (teacher) says he saw John at age 12 do really good at boxing. And when it came to the Insurrectionists, Thomas Wu and Gabriella Dvorak say how people were treated by the Insurrectionists and Dvorak was inspired by John when he walked out tall. However, people believe this to be John’s flash clone that they encountered. But Katrina (Ellie’s friend) confirmed that John’s flash clone died at the age of 6 even writing it down. Katrina also said that John’s parents were alive in Elysium City by 2528. It seems that Ben has discovered ONI’s secrets and will begin to try to bring their wall down… But will it cost him his life?
Naw…it has to be something a lot worse than that to REALLY piss ONI off to the point of killing him.

You know what can be a really unexpected plot twist? Having Johns parents show up in a later episode and talking about him. That has never been done in Halos story.
ONI can’t kill him. at least not yet. killing him now would cause investigations into his death, which because he’s intelligent and because ONI left a paper trail because they didn’t anticipate him doing this, it ill get back to them and their secrets will be exposed just as fast as if they did nothing. so instead they are going to eliminate any and every possible thread of information they can to keep him from gaining any more insight into what ONI did to John and all the other SPARTAN IIs such as killing Halsey and John
This is a quite interesting subject for the Halo UNSC lore. Wonder if we will find out more about the event when and if ONI’s wall falls

ONI sure can kill him if they wanted to. Or do you think an organization as influential and experienced as ONI couldn’t influence any investigation that might happen? That some national police force somewhere on earth would somehow be granted authority to so much as enter an ONI facility? No. To law-enforcement ONI is untouchable. The only real authority that could threaten it is the UNSC security council and they are as keen to keep secrets secret as ONI is.
I’ve said it many times and I will keep saying it: If Ben wasn’t following ONI’s script to the letter he would have been dead by the end of the day after he made that phonecall to ONI about the documents.
Let me rephrase, ONI won’t kill Giraud because if they kill him they would be killing a civilian of the UEG. Giraud is intelligent enough to attach his findings to a deadman’s switch it would be sent to law enforcement, UNSC, UEG and whoever else he could reasonably contact. The findings would be out there for everyone to see and ultimately expose the dark secrets surrounding the Spartan II project and ultimately ONI spurring more people to rebel even among the ranks of ONI itself, people who didn’t know about what they did, like the Spartan IVs and support staff
and If ONI is so untouchable Chief, Halsey, Lord Admiral Hood and Laskey wouldn’t be on their hit list
its quite possible that Giraud is dead now that i think about it and we’re getting information on timed release so ONI can’t just find a singular source and destroy it before it reveals everything. a deadman’s switch is a document video or email that is sent when the person who set it up is listed as dead and or missing a a matter of public record, or the sender failed to keep it in standby. its a technique I’ve seen elsewhere in stories that quite effectively keeps someone alive from something as powerful as ONI because fear of that information getting exposed is far greater than the possibility of him living. if ONI was unaware of this and killed Giraud then this information is being released posthumously and now they’re trying to do damage control
UNSC does answer to the UEG they’re just given wide discretion,
