ONI placing structures on Requeim?

Judging by this video (at 0:20 you can see it best), this multiplayer map is set in a human facility on Requeim itself, and now seeing as multiplayer is canon, so is this location (alhough not the Spartans being there, which they aren’t).
This probably also means this place is in reality crawling with researchers and technicians.

So what do you guys think ONI are doing here? I mean, all the Forerunner technology they could ever want is on the Halos and Trevelyan, why land on hostile territory? Spartan Ops and War Games takes place after Halo 4 by six months, yet there’s still Prometheans.

Thoughts?

Why build structures on Halos with the Flood being on it by that logic?

Well, I guess that is a good point. But unlike the Prometheans, the Flood are dormant.

Doesn’t take much to wake them up. And really, by Halo 4’s end, the Knights may no longer be a huge threat anymore outside of Spartan Ops missions.

What if the -Yoink!- on the elite homeworld was caused by Infinity itself and tagged it as a thursday war?

Sorry wrong post

Well if I were to hazard a guess, they might be interested in Requiem due to its more Promethean emphasis (with weapons and possibly even building design) than the tried and true Builder technology on the Halos.

Additionally, if ONI could turn the Promethean defenses to their side, they could theoretically create a new fortress world similar to a Coveant War-era Reach. As I understand it as of now, the only ways into the “core” of Requiem seem to be the giant doors seen in the first H4 trailer. Because of this and potential weapons on the outer shell, Requiem seems incredibly defensible and would probably do very well in a siege type environment.

That sounds badass!
